• 630 hp from a 3.0L twin-turbo V6
• Top speed of 325 km/h

Summary

This 2023 Maserati MC20 represents a rare opportunity to own a flagship supercar with just 5,000 km, placing it well below the average mileage for a three-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable and sophisticated choice that supports strong resale liquidity in local markets like Dubai and Riyadh. As Maserati’s first ground-up supercar in two decades, the MC20 stands out by utilizing Formula 1-derived combustion technology to deliver performance that rivals the most established Italian names. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a carbon-fiber monocoque and a specialized GCC-spec cooling system ensures this car remains composed during both high-speed highway stints and the peak summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2023 MC20s

With only 5,000 km on the odometer, this MC20 is a low-mileage example compared to the typical 45,000–60,000 km expected for a three-year-old car in the region. The Grey finish is one of the most stable colors for value retention in the UAE, avoiding the faster depreciation often seen with more niche or experimental shades. This specific car offers a 'near-new' mechanical state that is difficult to find among 2023 models that have seen regular highway use between Emirates.

COUPE vs Lower Trims

As the core Coupe model, this car focuses on structural rigidity and the purest performance expression of the MC20 platform. Unlike later variants, the Coupe features the fixed-roof design that maximizes the aerodynamic efficiency required to hit its 325 km/h top speed. It comes standard with the full carbon-fiber interior package and the digital rearview mirror, features that are essential for visibility in a mid-engine supercar.

MC20 vs Segment Rivals

The MC20 competes directly with the Ferrari F8 Tributo and Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, leading with its innovative 'Nettuno' engine which features twin-spark pre-chamber ignition. It offers a more modern, tech-focused cabin than the Huracán and a more compliant ride quality for daily driving across Dubai's road network compared to the track-stiff F8. The inclusion of a front-axle lift system as standard on many GCC units gives it a practical advantage over rivals when navigating local speed bumps.

Running Costs & Resale

The Nettuno V6 requires high-octane 98-grade petrol, widely available across the UAE and KSA, and returns a combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.6L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months, with authorized Maserati centers providing extensive coverage across the major GCC hubs. While exotic cars face higher initial depreciation, the MC20 has shown better value retention at the three-year mark than previous Maserati sports cars due to its limited production and unique engine provenance.

Performance & Capability

The MC20 delivers a blistering 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds, powered by a 630 hp engine that achieves one of the highest power-per-liter ratios in the world. Its rear-wheel-drive layout and 8-speed dual-clutch transmission are tuned for lightning-fast shifts that make highway overtaking effortless. The five dedicated drive modes, including 'Wet' and 'Corsa,' allow the driver to calibrate the electronic limited-slip differential for either high-grip desert highway runs or precision track sessions.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the two-seat cockpit features a blend of fine Italian leather and Alcantara, designed to stay comfortable even in the intense GCC summer. The dual-zone climate control is specifically engineered to cope with high ambient temperatures, and the 10.25-inch touchscreen offers seamless wireless smartphone integration. Despite its supercar status, the cabin is remarkably well-insulated from road noise, making it a viable grand tourer for long trips between Abu Dhabi and Muscat.

Safety

Standard safety features include a 360-degree camera system and a digital rearview mirror, which are critical for eliminating the blind spots common in mid-engine designs. The car is equipped with advanced traction and stability control systems that are essential for maintaining composure on sand-dusted road surfaces. Additionally, front and rear parking sensors and automated emergency braking provide an extra layer of security for navigating dense city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai.

The bottom line

This is the ideal purchase for a collector or enthusiast seeking a pristine, low-mileage flagship that balances F1-derived engineering with daily usability in the GCC climate.
