• 450 litres VDA-standard boot space

Summary

This 2023 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Highline represents one of the most cost-effective entry points into Japanese-engineered reliability in the UAE. With a mileage that reflects standard commuter use for its age, it remains mechanically sound for years of service across the Emirates. The GLX Highline trim offers essential modern conveniences like a touchscreen and cruise control, making it a superior choice for those who want efficiency without a basic feel. As a GCC-spec vehicle finished in high-resale White, it is perfectly adapted for local conditions and holds its value better than non-regional counterparts. For a buyer prioritizing low monthly running costs and ease of urban parking, this is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 Attrages

At 68,000 km, this Attrage has been driven slightly above the typical annual average but remains well within its reliable service life for a Japanese sedan. The exterior White is the most sought-after color in the GCC used market, ensuring faster resale and better heat reflection during peak summer months. Unlike basic fleet models, this Highline version offers a more premium daily experience that sets it apart from standard rental-spec units.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The Highline trim elevates the Attrage experience by adding a 7-inch smartphone-link display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is absent on lower variants. It also features 15-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps that provide a sharper aesthetic than the basic steel wheels found on the entry GLX. Additionally, the inclusion of cruise control and steering-mounted audio buttons significantly improves comfort during long highway commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

The Attrage leads its segment in pure fuel efficiency, outperforming rivals like the Nissan Sunny and Kia Pegas with a manufacturer-rated 20.8 km/L. While it occupies a smaller footprint for easier parking, its 450-litre boot is surprisingly deep, often exceeding the cargo capacity of larger sub-compact sedans. Its 3-cylinder MIVEC engine is specifically engineered for low-maintenance urban driving, offering simpler mechanical upkeep than turbocharged competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the region, with the 1.2L engine achieving approximately 4.8 L/100km on combined cycles. Mitsubishi’s authorized service network, led by Al Habtoor Motors in the UAE, is extensive, ensuring parts and qualified technicians are available in every emirate. The model typically sees a depreciation rate of roughly 10-12% annually, which is competitive for the compact segment, especially for a GCC-spec unit with a documented history.

Performance & Capability

The Attrage is built for efficiency rather than speed, producing 78 hp paired with an INVECS-III CVT designed for smooth power delivery in stop-start traffic. Its most impressive performance metric is the 4.8-meter turning radius (9.6m circle), which allows for effortless U-turns on narrow streets and easy maneuvering in crowded mall parking lots. The lightweight chassis ensures the car remains agile and responsive during city speeds while maintaining stability on UAE highways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly spacious for its class, offering 944mm of rear legroom which comfortably accommodates three passengers. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for GCC summers, providing rapid cooling even when ambient temperatures exceed 45°C. Highline features include fabric-trimmed seats that stay cooler than leather in the sun and a functional dashboard layout that prioritizes ease of use during daily commutes.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include Dual Front Airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Active Stability Control (ASC). It also features Hill Start Assist (HSA), which is particularly useful for stop-start traffic on inclines, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to ensure safety during long, high-temperature highway drives.

The bottom line

This Attrage is the ideal choice for a savvy commuter or a small family looking for the lowest possible cost of ownership without sacrificing modern tech. Its combination of GCC-ready cooling, high-resale White paint, and Highline features makes it a logical, low-risk investment in today's market.
