Mitsubishi Attrage GLX HIGHLINE

Highlights

• 20.8 km/L fuel economy (manufacturer-official)
• 450-litre boot capacity (VDA)
• Extensive GCC authorized service network

Summary

This 2022 Mitsubishi Attrage GLX Highline is a practical solution for daily commuters in the GCC who prioritize efficiency and low running costs. With 45,000 km, its mileage is significantly lower than the regional average for a two-year-old car, representing a strong mechanical advantage. The Highline trim adds essential modern tech like a 7-inch smartphone-link display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, setting it apart from basic rental-fleet units. Its white exterior is the most popular choice for the region, offering superior heat reflection and excellent resale stability in the UAE market. For anyone looking to minimize monthly fuel bills without sacrificing reliable air conditioning and factory tech, this is an ideal city workhorse.

This Car vs Other 2022 Attrages

At 45,000 km, this Attrage has been driven approximately 22,500 km per year, which is comfortably below the typical GCC average of 25,000–30,000 km for compact sedans. The White Solid exterior is the highest-demand color in the local used market, ensuring the fastest possible turnaround and strongest value retention when it's time to sell. Being a Highline trim, it avoids the basic feel of entry-level models often found in high-mileage commercial fleets.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The Highline trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Unlike the Mid or Base trims, it includes cruise control for easier highway commutes between emirates and 15-inch alloy wheels that improve the car's visual profile. It also features a rearview camera and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, which are often missing from lower-spec versions.

Attrage vs Segment Rivals

The Attrage leads the sub-compact segment in pure fuel efficiency, often outperforming rivals like the Kia Pegas and Suzuki Dzire in real-world urban traffic. Its 450-litre boot is surprisingly large for its footprint, offering more usable cargo volume than many larger sedans. Additionally, Mitsubishi’s widespread presence across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures that finding authorized service or genuine parts is significantly easier than for some newer segment entrants.

Running Costs & Resale

This model is one of the most economical vehicles on GCC roads, with a manufacturer-rated consumption of 20.8 km/L that thrives in stop-start city traffic. Maintenance is straightforward and affordable, with a vast network of authorized centers like Al Habtoor Motors in the UAE providing consistent support. The Attrage holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC due to high demand for reliable, fuel-efficient used cars, typically seeing a lower annual depreciation rate than European rivals in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MIVEC engine, the Attrage is built for efficiency rather than raw speed, achieving a top speed of 170 km/h. The INVECS-III CVT transmission is tuned specifically for smooth urban driving and maximizing every drop of fuel during long desert highway stretches. Its tight 4.8-meter turning radius makes it one of the easiest cars to maneuver and park in congested areas like Dubai Marina or Riyadh’s city center.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with a 'people-first' philosophy, providing more rear legroom than expected for a sub-compact sedan. The air conditioning system is engineered for the extreme GCC summer, capable of cooling the interior quickly even when parked in direct sunlight. Highline-specific materials and the digital infotainment hub provide a modern feel, while the 450-litre boot easily handles grocery runs or airport luggage for a small family.

Safety

The 2022 Attrage features Mitsubishi’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction to effectively absorb and redirect impact energy. Standard safety equipment includes dual front SRS airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Active Stability Control (ASC). The inclusion of a rearview camera and Hill Start Assist in this Highline trim provides extra confidence during daily city navigation.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, top-trim example of the GCC's most efficient sedan, perfect for a buyer who wants a reliable daily driver with modern smartphone connectivity and minimal running costs.
