• 473 hp from a twin-turbocharged flat-six
• Top speed of 311 km/h

Summary

This 2023 Carrera GTS represents the sweet spot of the 992 generation, offering a significant performance leap over the S model while remaining perfectly usable as a daily driver. With just over 20,000 km, the mileage is well within the typical range for a two-year-old GCC-spec sports car, ensuring it feels fresh and mechanically tight. The Black-on-Black configuration is the safest bet for resale in the UAE market, maintaining high demand and strong value retention. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from the optimized cooling systems required for extreme heat and a service history supported by Porsche’s extensive regional network. For the enthusiast who wants Turbo-level pace without the softer grand-touring character, this RWD GTS is the most focused 911 in the current lineup.

This Car vs Other 2023 911s

At 20,004 km, this GTS has been driven exactly as Porsche intended, sitting right at the average for GCC owners who use their 911s for both weekend runs and occasional commuting. While some low-mileage examples exist as garage queens, this car’s usage indicates a consistent mechanical cycle, which is often preferable for long-term reliability in our climate. The Black exterior remains the most liquid color for resale in the Emirates, consistently outperforming bolder PTS shades when it comes time to trade.

CARRERA GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS is far more than a software tune over the Carrera S; it adds the high-performance braking system and helper springs from the 911 Turbo, providing superior high-speed stability on GCC highways. You also get the Sport Design package, center-lock wheels, and a louder Sport Exhaust system as standard equipment. Inside, the GTS-specific Race-Tex upholstery and additional sound insulation removal provide a raw, mechanical connection that base models lack.

911 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Aston Martin Vantage or the Maserati MC20, the 911 GTS offers a level of ergonomic perfection and daily reliability that is unmatched in the GCC. Its 3.0L flat-six runs efficiently even in stop-start Dubai traffic, and the 8-speed PDK is widely regarded as the fastest-shifting transmission in the segment. The 911 also boasts a more compact footprint, making it significantly easier to park and navigate in urban environments than its wider supercar rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Porsche 911s, particularly the GTS trim, hold their value exceptionally well in the UAE, typically depreciating at a slower rate than Italian or British competitors. Expect combined fuel consumption to sit around 10.5 L/100km, though aggressive driving on the E11 will naturally increase this. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Porsche's authorized service centers across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait ensure that parts and expert technicians are always accessible.

Performance & Capability

With a verified top speed of 311 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.4 seconds, this RWD GTS delivers a visceral driving experience that rewards driver input. The rear-wheel-drive layout provides a lighter front end and more traditional Porsche handling dynamics, perfect for early morning runs through Jebel Jais. The standard Sport Chrono package allows for instant switching between drive modes, letting you move from a refined highway cruiser to a track-ready weapon with a single dial turn.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its performance focus, the cabin is equipped with two-zone climate control capable of handling 45°C+ summer peaks and standard heated Sport Seats Plus. The 2+2 seating configuration provides extra utility for luggage or short trips for younger passengers, while the 10.9-inch touchscreen features wireless Apple CarPlay for seamless regional navigation. The build quality is exemplary, with tight tolerances that prevent cabin rattles even on older UAE road surfaces.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes Porsche Side Impact Protection (POSIP), forward collision mitigation with emergency braking, and front/rear parking sensors with a high-resolution camera. The GTS’s upgraded braking hardware provides shorter stopping distances from high speeds, a critical safety benefit for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. LED headlights with four-point daytime running lights ensure maximum visibility during dusty conditions or nighttime desert drives.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Carrera GTS is the perfect choice for the driver who wants a modern, high-tech supercar experience with the legendary reliability and resale security of the Porsche 911 brand.
