Summary

This three-year-old compact sedan represents one of the most reliable entry points into Toyota's redesigned generation, balancing modern technology with legendary running costs. Finished in a high-demand white that ensures strong resale across the Emirates, it remains a favorite for both daily city commuting and long-distance highway travel. The 1.5-litre engine provides dependable performance tailored for the GCC climate, while the recent redesign offers significantly more interior room than previous models. For a buyer seeking a hassle-free ownership experience, this listing provides a well-maintained example of the region's most trusted sub-compact workhorse.

This Car vs Other 2023 Yariss

With 65,808 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits within the typical annual mileage range of 20,000 to 25,000 km expected for a commuter car in the GCC. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering superior heat reflection and the highest liquidity at resale. Compared to many high-mileage fleet units, this example maintains the mechanical integrity required for multi-emirate commuting.

E vs Lower Trims

The E trim serves as the primary gateway to the modern generation, featuring an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. It includes essential GCC safety features like rear parking sensors and a rearview camera that were not always present in earlier base-model iterations. While the G trim adds luxury touches, the E trim offers the exact same mechanical powertrain and fuel efficiency, making it the more rational value choice.

Yaris vs Segment Rivals

The Yaris leads rivals like the Hyundai Accent and Nissan Sunny with its class-leading fuel economy of 20.5 km/L and a reputation for long-term durability in extreme heat. Its 4.8-meter turning circle makes it more maneuverable in dense Dubai or Riyadh traffic than several competitors. Additionally, the resale value of a GCC-spec Yaris consistently outperforms almost every other sub-compact sedan in the secondary market.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a major strength, achieving approximately 20.5 km/L which translates to significant savings during long-haul drives across the UAE. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by a massive network of authorized service centers from Al-Futtaim in the UAE to Abdullah Abdulghani in Qatar. The model enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, typically retaining 70-75% of its value after the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine produces 105 hp and 136 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth CVT that simulates a seven-speed shift for better highway response. It handles the fast-paced lane changes of the E11 highway with stability, while the front-wheel-drive setup is optimized for urban efficiency. The 160 mm ground clearance is ample for navigating speed bumps and varied road surfaces found throughout GCC residential areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The redesigned interior offers a longer 2,620 mm wheelbase, resulting in significantly improved rear legroom compared to older models. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for the high-ambient temperatures of the Middle East, ensuring the cabin stays cool even during peak summer months. With 475 litres of cargo space, the boot is deep enough for large grocery runs or travel luggage for weekend trips between cities.

Safety

Standard safety features include Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System with Brake Assist, and Hill-start Assist Control to prevent rolling on inclines. It is equipped with dual front airbags and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which is vital for safe highway driving in the extreme GCC heat. The chassis is built to comply with modern safety standards, providing a solid feel that is often absent in the budget sedan segment.

The bottom line

Perfect for the budget-conscious professional or small family, this Yaris offers a stress-free transition into a modern, fuel-efficient sedan with the strongest resale pedigree in the GCC.
