Summary

This 2024 Stelvio in its limited Competizione trim offers a rare combination of low mileage and high-spec Italian performance, making it a standout choice in the GCC luxury SUV market. The Misano Blue exterior is a sought-after choice locally, known for holding its visual appeal and resale value better than more common shades. While many rivals prioritize soft rides, this Alfa Romeo is engineered for those who enjoy the drive between emirates, offering sharp handling that feels more like a sports sedan than a crossover. With just 15,325 km, this vehicle has barely begun its life on UAE roads and remains under the peace of mind of its manufacturer warranty period. It is the ideal buy for a driver who wants to avoid the commonality of German SUVs without sacrificing premium features or GCC-ready reliability.

This Car vs Other 2024 Stelvios

With just 15,325 km on the odometer, this Stelvio has significantly lower mileage than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen on UAE roads. As a Competizione trim, it represents the absolute top of the 2.0L range, featuring equipment that was only optional or unavailable on standard 2024 models. The combination of its late model year and low usage makes it a prime candidate for long-term ownership with minimal immediate maintenance requirements.

COMPETIZIONE vs Lower Trims

The Competizione trim sits above the Veloce, adding sophisticated hardware including Alfa Active Suspension with electronically controlled dampers and a mechanical limited-slip differential for superior traction on fast highway interchanges. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a leather-wrapped dashboard, red contrast stitching, and a premium 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. GCC buyers will also appreciate the 21-inch dark 5-hole wheels which provide a much more aggressive stance than the 19 or 20-inch wheels found on lower trims.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X3 or Audi Q5, the Stelvio leads with a more driver-centric chassis and a standard carbon-fibre driveshaft, a feature usually reserved for high-end supercars. Its 280 hp output is one of the highest standard figures in the 2.0L class, providing effortless overtaking power for long stretches of the E11. While rivals focus on screen size, the Alfa focuses on mechanical engagement and distinctive Italian design that stands out in Dubai and Abu Dhabi traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is efficient for the GCC, averaging approximately 8.4–9.7 L/100km depending on how much time is spent in heavy city traffic versus open highway cruising. Authorized service centers are well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with recommended service intervals typically every 15,000 km or annually. While European luxury SUVs naturally depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the limited-run Competizione trim historically holds its value better than base models due to its high demand among enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

The Stelvio delivers a class-leading 0–100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds, powered by a 280 hp engine and a lightning-fast 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Q4 All-Wheel Drive system is rear-biased, meaning it handles like a sports car until you need extra grip for sudden lane changes or gravel surfaces. With a top speed of 230 km/h and Alfa’s DNA drive mode selector, you can easily transition from a comfortable highway cruiser to a sharp-handling performance machine.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in Italian ergonomics, featuring power-adjustable leather sport seats with heavy bolstering that remain comfortable during long cross-country drives. The dual-zone climate control is specifically calibrated to handle extreme GCC summer heat, supported by rear passenger vents and well-insulated acoustic glass. With 525 litres of boot space, it offers plenty of room for weekend golf bags or family staycation luggage.

Safety

This Stelvio comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite essential for fast-moving GCC highways, including Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The LED Adaptive Matrix headlights offer superior visibility during nighttime desert drives, while the 360-degree camera and front/rear parking sensors make navigating tight city parking garages effortless. It also features a high-strength steel chassis and a full array of airbags for maximum passenger protection.

The bottom line

This low-mileage Competizione is a rare opportunity to own the most driver-focused SUV in its class, perfectly suited for a GCC buyer who values Italian soul and premium features.
