Summary

This 2024 Exeed LX is an exceptional entry into the luxury crossover market, offering a sophisticated balance of modern technology and high-end materials that rivals European counterparts. Despite its relatively recent entry into the GCC market, it has quickly established a reputation for robust build quality and a feature set that typically requires expensive options on more established brands. The grey exterior is a highly strategic choice for the region, as it hides road dust effectively while maintaining a high resale value compared to more niche colors. For a 2024 model, this car provides the latest in automotive design and safety, making it a forward-thinking choice for those who value modern aesthetics. This specific listing is a strong buy because it bridges the gap between affordable daily transport and premium luxury without the associated maintenance headaches. The most important consideration for a GCC buyer is the comprehensive manufacturer support and parts availability that has been rapidly expanded across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring long-term peace of mind.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed LXs

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 Exeed LX models on the market, the mileage reflects a vehicle that has been utilized for consistent highway commuting, which is common and often preferable in the GCC. High-mileage modern engines in the UAE are typically more reliable than low-mileage city cars because highway driving ensures the engine operates at optimal temperatures with minimal wear on the brakes and suspension. The grey finish is one of the most sought-after colors in the secondary market, ensuring that this vehicle will attract more buyers when it comes time to upgrade. While many 2024 models might have slightly lower figures on the odometer, this car has clearly been proven in local conditions, demonstrating its ability to handle the rigors of long-distance desert highway travel. It represents a fantastic opportunity to own a current-year model with all the latest tech at a more accessible entry point. The overall condition suggests a well-maintained lifecycle, making it a reliable partner for your daily errands and weekend escapes alike.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

Choosing the COMFORT trim over base variations provides a significant uplift in the daily driving experience through several key interior and tech enhancements. While lower trims might offer a basic infotainment setup, this level includes the expansive dual-screen cockpit that integrates both the instrument cluster and the multimedia interface into one seamless glass panel. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the upgraded climate control system and the inclusion of high-quality synthetic leather upholstery that stays cooler than fabric under the intense summer sun. Additionally, the COMFORT trim often includes more sophisticated parking aids and 360-degree camera views which are essential for navigating tight parking spots in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The exterior also benefits from larger, more stylish alloy wheels and LED lighting signatures that give the car a much more premium presence on the road. It is the 'sweet spot' in the lineup, offering the premium feel of a luxury SUV without the unnecessary price jump to the top-tier performance trims.

Exeed LX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed LX competes in a crowded segment against the likes of the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Toyota RAV4, but it distinguishes itself by offering a luxury-tier cabin at a mainstream price point. Where its Japanese and Korean rivals often use hard plastics in their mid-range trims, the Exeed LX utilizes soft-touch materials and ambient lighting to create a much more upscale environment. It also leads several competitors in terms of standard technology, offering a suite of digital features that usually cost extra in the Toyota or Kia showrooms. The 1.5L turbocharged engine is specifically tuned for efficiency, making it an excellent choice for those who do not require the heavy off-road mechanics of a RAV4 but want a higher seating position and more prestige. Its boot space is among the largest in its class, easily accommodating large grocery hauls or luggage for a family trip to Fujairah. For the modern GCC buyer, the Exeed LX represents a more tech-focused and stylish alternative to the traditional, more conservative choices.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is designed for maximum fuel efficiency, averaging approximately 7.0 to 7.5 L per 100km on the highway, which is ideal for the long commutes between Sharjah and Dubai. In stop-start city traffic, the automatic transmission is smooth and efficient, keeping fuel costs predictable and manageable. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and the authorized service network for Exeed has grown significantly across the UAE, with dedicated centers offering competitive maintenance packages. Because Exeed is a premium sub-brand of Chery, it benefits from a massive global parts supply chain, ensuring that spare parts are readily available and affordable. In terms of resale, the LX is following a standard depreciation curve for premium Chinese brands in the GCC, typically seeing a 12-15% drop annually, which is comparable to many American and European rivals. As the brand gains more recognition on local roads, the demand for used models remains steady, especially for GCC-spec vehicles like this one that come with the necessary cooling and filtration for our climate.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is its 1.5L turbocharged engine, which provides surprisingly peppy acceleration and plenty of torque for overtaking on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. With a 0-100 km/h time in the mid-8-second range, it feels agile and responsive in urban environments. The front-wheel-drive configuration is perfectly suited for city life and paved highway travel, offering better fuel economy and lower maintenance than heavy all-wheel-drive systems. With a ground clearance of approximately 185mm, the LX easily handles speed bumps, gravel parking lots, and the occasional unpaved road near construction sites without any risk of underbody damage. The automatic transmission is tuned for comfort, shifting seamlessly to keep the cabin quiet and the ride smooth for all passengers. While it isn't designed for heavy dune bashing, its stability control and traction systems are excellent for maintaining grip on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces. It is a capable, confident performer that prioritizes passenger comfort and efficiency above all else.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Exeed LX feels like a vehicle from a much higher price bracket, featuring a minimalist design dominated by high-resolution screens and touch-sensitive controls. The five-seat layout is spacious, providing ample legroom for adults in the rear, which is crucial for family trips or carpooling. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for the GCC, featuring powerful blowers and rear vents to ensure the entire cabin reaches a comfortable temperature quickly after being parked in the sun. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are remarkably low, thanks to thick glass and extensive sound dampening that isolates the cabin from external road noise. The boot is cavernous for its size, offering enough room for several large suitcases or a stroller, and the flat floor makes loading heavy items much easier. Whether you are stuck in rush-hour traffic or cruising to Ras Al Khaimah, the cabin provides a sanctuary of calm and modern luxury. The ergonomic seats are designed for long-distance support, reducing fatigue on those 200 km+ drives across the Emirates.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the Exeed brand, and the LX comes equipped with a comprehensive array of active and passive systems designed to protect all occupants. It features multiple airbags, including side curtain bags, and a high-strength steel cage that has earned it a 5-star rating in rigorous crash testing. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on this trim include lane-departure warnings and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for staying safe on multi-lane highways where traffic speeds vary. Adaptive cruise control and emergency braking assistance provide an extra layer of security, especially during long desert drives where driver fatigue can become a factor. The vehicle also includes advanced stability and traction control systems that are fine-tuned for GCC road conditions. For parents, the ISOFIX child seat anchors are easy to access, making it a highly rated choice for young families prioritizing safety. This car offers the kind of safety tech that was once reserved for high-end German sedans, now available in a practical SUV package.

The bottom line

This 2024 Exeed LX COMFORT is the perfect choice for a tech-savvy driver looking for a near-new luxury SUV experience without the premium price tag. Its GCC specification and excellent color choice make it a safe and stylish investment for anyone navigating the roads of the UAE or the wider region.
