Summary

This Exeed TXL represents an exceptional value proposition for buyers seeking a premium SUV experience without the European luxury price tag. Despite being a 2024 model, it has been driven extensively, which suggests its mechanical reliability has already been proven over long-distance GCC highway commutes. The black exterior is a highly sought-after choice in the region, ensuring that this vehicle will retain its appeal and resale value when it comes time to upgrade. As a premium sub-brand, Exeed offers a level of interior refinement and technological integration that genuinely challenges established luxury players in the mid-size SUV segment. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, the combination of a modern, turbocharged powertrain and a feature-rich cabin makes this a standout choice for daily urban driving and cross-emirate travel. The primary ownership advantage here is acquiring a nearly new, high-specification vehicle that has already cleared its initial steep depreciation curve, offering a sophisticated driving experience for a fraction of the cost of a brand-new showroom alternative.

This Car vs Other 2024 TXLs

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 TXL models currently on the market, the primary differentiator is the mileage. While 68,494 km is higher than the typical 20,000 km annual average for the GCC, it indicates that the previous owner utilized the vehicle for significant highway travel rather than stop-start city idling, which is often easier on the engine and transmission components. This usage profile suggests the car is well-sorted for the long-distance demands typical of UAE residents commuting between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the Northern Emirates. The black exterior is one of the top three colors for resale in the local market, making it far easier to sell later compared to more niche colors. Choosing a high-mileage 2024 model allows a buyer to benefit from the latest body style, updated infotainment software, and remaining manufacturer support while paying a significantly lower entry price. It is a strategic purchase for those who prioritize the latest model year and aesthetic over a low odometer reading.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The COMFORT trim on the TXL serves as a surprisingly high baseline, offering features that many competitors only reserve for their flagship or 'Limited' editions. While it is positioned as the entry point for this specific model, it includes the essential 'GCC-comfort' suite, such as a high-output climate control system designed specifically for extreme summer temperatures. GCC buyers will appreciate that even in this trim, the focus on digital integration is paramount, featuring a massive dual-screen setup that controls almost every aspect of the vehicle's environment. Unlike base models in other brands that might use smaller screens or analog dials, this trim ensures the cabin feels modern and premium. You also get a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, which is a vital tool for navigating the tight parking structures in Dubai and Riyadh. The inclusion of high-quality synthetic leather and soft-touch materials across the dashboard ensures that even at this trim level, the car feels like a significant step up from standard economy crossovers.

TXL vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed TXL competes directly with well-established rivals like the Changan UNI-K, the Haval H6, and even entry-level versions of the Kia Sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe. Where the TXL leads is in its technological architecture; the M3X Mars platform provides a level of chassis rigidity and sound insulation that is often superior to its Chinese-market competitors. Its boot space is among the largest in the segment, easily accommodating large grocery hauls or luggage for a family weekend trip to Jebel Jais or Salalah. For long GCC highway drives, the TXL offers a more composed and 'planted' feel at high speeds compared to many lightweight alternatives in the crossover category. The engine's efficiency-to-power ratio is specifically tuned to provide adequate overtaking power on multi-lane highways without the high fuel consumption of larger V6 engines found in some rivals. Additionally, the interior design language is notably more minimalist and premium, avoiding the cluttered button layouts seen in older segment competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine in the GCC is a smart financial move, as it offers a great balance between fuel economy and performance. In stop-start traffic in cities like Jeddah or Dubai, the engine manages fuel consumption impressively well, while on the highway, the 7-speed transmission keeps RPMs low to maximize every liter of petrol. Owners can expect efficient maintenance costs as the 1.6T engine is a widely used and reliable unit within the manufacturer's global lineup. Exeed has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expert technicians are readily available. While European brands may see a 15-20% annual depreciation, the Exeed TXL typically follows a path closer to 12-14% as the brand establishes its premium reputation in the region. The remaining manufacturer warranty on a 2024 model provides significant peace of mind and protects the owner against unforeseen mechanical costs for several years to come.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces approximately 197 hp, providing a surprisingly punchy response for its size. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in roughly 8.5 seconds, which is more than adequate for merging safely onto fast-moving GCC highways where traffic often flows at 120-140 km/h. As a front-wheel-drive vehicle, it is designed for efficiency and paved-road comfort rather than heavy dune bashing, making it the ideal suburban family cruiser. It features multiple drive modes, including an Eco mode for heavy traffic and a Sport mode that sharpens the throttle response for more spirited driving. The ground clearance is generous enough to handle large speed bumps and unpaved gravel tracks commonly found near construction sites or weekend beach spots. Its suspension is specifically tuned for comfort, soaking up road imperfections with ease, which makes long-distance cross-country trips much less fatiguing for both the driver and passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the TXL, the environment is defined by its massive panoramic sunroof and the expansive dual 12.3-inch curved screens that dominate the dashboard. The seating for five is generous, with rear-seat passengers enjoying legroom that rivals much larger SUVs, ensuring comfort for adults on long drives between cities. The air conditioning system is a standout feature, engineered to meet the high demands of the GCC climate with dedicated rear vents and a rapid-cooling function that brings the cabin temperature down quickly after being parked in the sun. Ambient lighting and a premium audio system create a sophisticated atmosphere for evening drives through the city lights of Dubai or Riyadh. Cabin insulation is excellent, using acoustic glass to significantly reduce wind and road noise, allowing for clear conversations even at highway speeds. The use of high-quality materials and ergonomic seat design ensures that the TXL provides a fatigue-free environment for daily commutes and family adventures alike.

Safety

Safety is a cornerstone of the Exeed brand, and the TXL has been awarded a 5-Star NCAP safety rating, providing the highest level of protection for your family. This COMFORT trim is equipped with a robust Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, featuring lane-keeping assist and forward collision warning, which are essential for the high-speed environments of the GCC. The adaptive cruise control is a game-changer for long stretches of highway, automatically maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and reducing driver stress. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, which is incredibly helpful on multi-lane roads like Sheikh Zayed Road where motorcycles and fast-moving cars can often be missed. Additionally, the car features multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a reinforced cage structure designed to absorb and redirect impact energy. This comprehensive safety package is often only found in the top-tier trims of rival Japanese or American SUVs, making the TXL a leader in its class for occupant protection.

The bottom line

This 2024 Exeed TXL is a brilliant choice for a tech-savvy buyer who wants a nearly new, premium SUV at a significant discount due to its highway-proven mileage. It offers a level of safety, interior luxury, and modern design that is hard to match in the used market at this price point, making it a highly rational and stylish investment for GCC roads.
