Summary

This 2024 Exeed VX Flagship represents a high-spec entry into the premium SUV market, offering a tech-dense cabin that challenges traditional luxury rivals. Despite the highway-ready mileage, the vehicle remains a strong contender for GCC families thanks to its robust turbocharged powertrain and seven-seat configuration. The black exterior is a highly desirable choice in the region, supporting strong resale appeal and visual longevity in the local market. For those seeking executive-level features like massage seats and advanced ADAS at a competitive price point, this flagship trim is a strategic buy. This model stands out by including premium equipment as standard that most competitors only offer as expensive options.

This Car vs Other 2024 Exeed VXs

The mileage on this vehicle is higher than the typical GCC average for a single year, suggesting it has been used primarily for long-distance highway travel between emirates. In the GCC market, highway-driven vehicles are often preferred over city-bound counterparts due to more consistent operating temperatures and reduced wear on brakes and suspension. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the region, ensuring it remains one of the easier colors to trade or sell in the future.

Flagship vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier Flagship trim, this vehicle adds significant luxury upgrades over the Comfort and Luxury versions, including the high-end 23-speaker audio system and a 40.6-inch triplex screen layout. Essential GCC features such as front seat ventilation and massage functions are standard here, along with a more comprehensive ADAS suite featuring 26 distinct safety systems. You also benefit from larger 20-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof that enhances the cabin's premium feel.

VX vs Segment Rivals

The Exeed VX is frequently cross-shopped with the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade, where it leads on integrated cabin technology and screen real estate for the price. It offers a 65-litre fuel tank which provides a solid range for long desert highway drives across the UAE or into Saudi Arabia. While rivals are often larger, the VX focuses on providing a more tech-forward 'Land Business Jet' experience with its superior standard interior materials.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbocharged engine typically averages around 9 L/100km in combined GCC driving conditions, though this can improve significantly on long highway cruises. Authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE through Al Ghurair Auto, with growing networks across Saudi Arabia and Qatar ensuring parts availability for regional travel. Exeed vehicles currently follow a stabilized depreciation curve in the GCC, generally retaining a competitive percentage of their value compared to other emerging premium brands.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L TGDI engine produces a responsive 250 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which is ideal for confident overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. Equipped with the BorgWarner all-terrain drive system and seven selectable drive modes, the VX handles variable GCC road surfaces and light sand trails with ease. The 8-speed automatic transmission provides smooth shifts, ensuring that even at high highway speeds, the cabin remains quiet and refined.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout feature for GCC owners, offering three distinct climate zones and dedicated rear cooling vents to combat extreme summer heat. The seating layout accommodates seven passengers, with the front 'Queen Seat' offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions for maximum comfort on long trips. Acoustic glass and advanced noise cancellation work together to isolate the interior from road noise, creating a tranquil environment for family road trips.

Safety

This Flagship trim is equipped with 10 airbags and a full suite of 26 ADAS functions, including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring which are invaluable on busy multi-lane highways. It holds a 5-star C-NCAP safety rating and features a high-strength steel cage body for maximum impact protection. Proactive systems like automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning come standard, providing an extra layer of security for family transport.

The bottom line

This Exeed VX Flagship is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy GCC family who wants maximum luxury features and safety technology without the high premium of European brands. Its highway-proven reliability and high trim level make it a practical yet sophisticated opportunity in the current used market.
