Summary

This 2024 Jetour Dashing Luxury offers a compelling entry into the high-tech SUV market with significantly lower mileage than the GCC annual average. The Luxury trim is the most desirable configuration in the region, featuring the more powerful 1.6L turbocharged engine which provides a noticeable performance boost over the base 1.5L variants. Finished in black, it maintains excellent resale appeal in a market that favors classic, high-contrast colors. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a nearly-new vehicle under official warranty and a full suite of cabin technology makes this a highly practical daily driver. It stands out by offering premium features like a massive central display and ventilated seating that are typically reserved for much more expensive European rivals.

This Car vs Other 2024 Jetour Dashings

With just 27,000 km on the odometer, this Dashing has been driven significantly less than the typical 40,000–50,000 km expected for a two-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring the car remains attractive to future buyers. It presents a clear advantage over higher-mileage examples that have faced more aggressive highway commuting between emirates.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim represents a total cabin overhaul, upgrading the infotainment from a 12.8-inch screen to a massive 15.6-inch interface and increasing the airbag count for enhanced safety. Crucially for the GCC climate, this trim adds ventilated front seats and a cooled center console cubby to keep drinks chilled during summer. You also benefit from a premium 8-speaker Sony audio system and a full ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Dashing vs Segment Rivals

The Dashing competes directly with the MG HS and Haval H6, leading the segment in pure cabin technology and futuristic interior design. Its 2,720 mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom compared to many compact crossovers, making it a more viable family vehicle for long cross-border drives. The 1.6L engine's 194 hp output also gives it a performance edge in high-speed highway merging over the standard powerplants found in its immediate rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption in mixed GCC driving typically averages around 9.7 L/100km, though this drops closer to 7.2 L/100km during steady highway cruising. Jetour has established one of the world’s largest dedicated service centers on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, ensuring strong parts availability and specialized care across the UAE. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the Dashing's high feature-to-price ratio and transferable 6-year/200,000 km agency warranty provide significant value retention for second owners.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque, allowing for confident overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the power delivery is smooth and responsive, reaching 100 km/h in approximately 8.5 seconds. While strictly front-wheel drive and road-biased, its 160 mm ground clearance and selectable Sport mode make it capable of handling gravel tracks and weekend excursions to light desert campsites.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the extreme heat of the region, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system with PM2.5 air filtration and dedicated rear vents. Passengers enjoy a library-level quiet space thanks to extensive acoustic insulation, while the panoramic sunroof adds a sense of openness without compromising cabin cooling. The interior is finished in high-quality synthetic leather with power-adjustable seating, creating a premium environment for long-distance family travel.

Safety

This Luxury trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety package including a 540° panoramic camera system that allows you to see 'through' the chassis for precise parking. Active safety features include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating the dense, fast-moving traffic typical of Dubai and Riyadh. A total of six airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction ensure top-tier passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This Jetour Dashing is the ideal choice for a tech-focused buyer who wants a nearly-new SUV with the highest possible trim level and a valid agency warranty. It offers the best of the model’s performance and comfort features at a price point that undercuts established rivals significantly.
