Summary

This 2024 Lexus NX350 Prestige offers a compelling entry into the modern luxury SUV segment with mileage that sits well below the GCC annual average for its age. Finished in black, it occupies a high-demand niche for resale value in the local market, making it as much a smart financial move as it is a luxury upgrade. This specific model bridges the gap between urban agility and highway poise, standing out from its rivals with a focus on tactile interior quality and renowned mechanical reliability. For a buyer in the GCC, this represents an opportunity to own a nearly new Japanese luxury crossover that is famously well-suited for long-term ownership in hot climates.

This Car vs Other 2024 NX350s

With just over 20,000 km on the odometer, this NX350 has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the region, ensuring it stays at the top of the list for future buyers. As an American spec vehicle, it offers the same high-build quality as local variants, often featuring unique interior technology packages not standard on all regional trims.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the NX experience by introducing features GCC drivers prioritize, including an upgraded Lexus Interface and enhanced interior materials compared to the base 250 trim. It moves away from the entry-level naturally aspirated engine in favor of the more robust 2.4L turbocharged unit, providing the torque necessary for confident highway merging. You also benefit from advanced active noise cancellation, which is essential for maintaining cabin serenity on long, high-speed desert drives.

NX350 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the BMW X3 or Audi Q5, the Lexus leads with its reputation for lower long-term maintenance costs and a cabin designed for durability in high-heat environments. It offers a more intuitive safety suite as standard, whereas competitors often relegate advanced ADAS features to expensive option lists. The NX350 also provides a more relaxed, vibration-free ride that makes it better suited for the daily stop-start traffic common in Dubai or Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.8 L/100km, which is efficient for an All-Wheel Drive SUV in this power bracket. Lexus typically requires service every 10,000 km or 6 months, and with one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is exceptionally convenient. Historically, the NX retains its value better than its European counterparts, seeing significantly slower depreciation over the first three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 276 hp turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 0–100 km/h time of 6.8 seconds, ensuring you have ample power for overtaking on the E11 or E311. The All-Wheel Drive system provides consistent traction on sandy or gravel-strewn road shoulders, while the 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness. It offers a 2,000 lbs towing capacity, making it capable of hauling small jet skis for weekend trips to the coast.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring the powerful Lexus climate control system that is widely regarded as one of the best in the industry. The 5-seat layout provides generous legroom for a compact crossover, while the NuLuxe upholstery is specifically designed to resist fading and cracking under intense UV exposure. Acoustic glass helps keep the interior whisper-quiet even at highway speeds, isolating passengers from road and wind noise.

Safety

The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes standard, featuring Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Intersection Support, which is vital for busy urban junctions. For long-distance GCC highway travel, the All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist significantly reduce driver fatigue. The car is also equipped with a comprehensive 8-airbag system and Blind Spot Monitoring, providing peace of mind during fast-moving lane changes.

The bottom line

This NX350 Prestige is the ideal choice for a young professional or small family looking for a reliable, low-mileage luxury SUV that will hold its value better than almost anything else in its class. It offers a perfect balance of Japanese reliability and modern turbocharged performance in a highly resale-friendly color.
