Summary

This 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC Premium represents a high-spec opportunity for GCC buyers looking for the luxury of an S-Class in a versatile SUV package. With mileage reflecting typical annual use for the region, this white-on-beige example is in a prime resale configuration for the local market. The mild-hybrid straight-six provides effortless power for high-speed highway overtaking while maintaining surprising refinement during city commutes. As a flagship 7-seater, it offers more cabin prestige than rivals like the BMW X7 or Lexus LX, making it a standout choice for large families who value both presence and comfort. The robust regional service network ensures long-term peace of mind for ownership across the UAE and wider GCC.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLS450s

With 21,013 km, this GLS450 sits comfortably within the average annual mileage range for GCC luxury SUVs, which typically cover 20,000 to 25,000 km per year. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional used market, ensuring significantly stronger resale liquidity and value retention than darker or niche shades. Choosing a 2024 model provides the latest MBUX software updates and interior refinements introduced for the current generation.

4M PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The 4M Premium trim upgrades the GLS experience with features that are essential for the GCC climate, most notably the standard ventilated front seats and the high-output Burmester surround sound system. Unlike base configurations, this trim includes the 360° camera system as standard, which is vital for maneuvering a vehicle of this size in tight parking scenarios. It also features the more advanced AIRMATIC air suspension, providing superior ride quality over varied terrain.

GLS450 vs Segment Rivals

The GLS450 offers a more spacious and usable third row compared to the BMW X7, which is a critical advantage for family logistics in the region. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a longer touring range for cross-emirate drives than the Cadillac Escalade, while the MBUX infotainment system is widely regarded as more intuitive and feature-rich than the interface found in the Lexus LX. The Mercedes remains the benchmark for cabin quietness and highway stability in the full-size luxury segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The mild-hybrid powertrain improves efficiency in GCC stop-start traffic, with real-world combined consumption typically averaging around 11.5 L/100km. Service intervals are scheduled every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring consistent maintenance standards. The GLS series holds its value well in the GCC, typically depreciating by approximately 12-15% annually, which is more stable than many European competitors in this luxury class.

Performance & Capability

The 367 hp straight-six engine, aided by an integrated starter generator, delivers a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.1 seconds, providing plenty of urgency for highway merges. Standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive and AIRMATIC suspension allow for confident handling on sand-dusted highways and light desert trails. For those with leisure equipment, the braked towing capacity reaches up to 3,493 kg, making it as capable as it is luxurious.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a genuine 7-seater, featuring power-folding rear seats that allow for a massive cargo capacity of up to 2,400 litres when flat. High-performance multi-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures rapid cooling even in 45°C+ summer peaks, while the panoramic sunroof adds an airy feel to the interior. Double-glazed acoustic glass significantly reduces road noise during long-distance drives across the region.

Safety

This GLS450 comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are particularly helpful for managing fast-moving traffic on GCC highways. The 360° camera and Active Parking Assist handle the logistics of its 5.2-meter length, while nine airbags provide class-leading passive protection for all three rows of passengers.

The bottom line

This white GLS450 is the ideal acquisition for a GCC-based executive or family seeking the region's favorite luxury SUV in its most resale-friendly specification. It offers a perfect balance of low-age benefits and proven regional suitability.
