Highlights

• 360° camera standard
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2024 Nissan Kicks SL is a standout choice for urban drivers, offering the highest luxury trim level available in the GCC with remarkably low mileage for its age. While many rivals use smaller turbocharged engines, the Kicks relies on a reliable 1.6L powertrain that is perfectly tuned for city efficiency and cost-effective maintenance across the Emirates. Its Grey exterior is a high-demand color in the local market, ensuring strong resale liquidity and better heat management than darker tones. For anyone seeking a modern crossover that balances advanced tech like a surround-view camera with Nissan's legendary reliability, this is the ideal daily driver. It handles the local stop-start traffic with ease while keeping running costs impressively low.

This Car vs Other 2024 Kickses

With just 26,685 km, this Kicks has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typically seen in the UAE. The Grey finish is a smart choice for the GCC, offering a perfect middle ground between the heat-reflecting properties of white and the premium look of darker shades, which helps preserve the paint and interior quality. Finding a top-tier SL trim with such low mileage makes this a high-value opportunity compared to higher-use examples currently on the market.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim is the 'Standard Luxury' flagship, adding critical features that GCC buyers prioritize, including the Intelligent Around View Monitor (360° camera) for effortless parking in tight spots. It upgrades the cabin with premium Prima-Tex appointed seats and a high-definition 8-inch touchscreen, while lower S and SV trims often lack the LED signature headlights and remote engine start that are essential for pre-cooling the car during hot summer months.

Kicks vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet, the Kicks leads with a more car-like handling feel and superior fuel economy for long-distance commutes between Emirates. While some competitors feel bulky, the Kicks offers a tighter turning circle, making it the preferred choice for navigating busy Dubai or Riyadh urban centers. Additionally, Nissan’s long-standing presence in the region means parts are generally more accessible than for newer entrants in the subcompact segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages 6.5 L/100km, which is among the best in its class for petrol SUVs in the GCC. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals typically every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Historically, the Kicks enjoys strong value retention in the local market, benefiting from Nissan's reputation for durability and high demand for fuel-efficient crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 118 HP, providing smooth and linear acceleration that is ideal for city cruising and steady highway speeds. It features an Xtronic CVT that has been optimized for efficiency, allowing for a top speed of approximately 180 km/h. While designed for the road, its 196 mm ground clearance provides peace of mind when navigating speed bumps, gravel outskirts, or the occasional sandy patch found in newer development areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly spacious for its class, featuring Nissan’s 'Zero Gravity' seats which are designed to reduce fatigue during long highway drives across the desert. The SL trim includes automatic climate control and a powerful AC system specifically engineered to combat high GCC temperatures, ensuring rapid cooling for all passengers. Practicality is a major plus, with a generous 432-liter boot capacity that easily accommodates a small family's weekend gear or grocery runs.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the SL trim, which comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. This includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are invaluable on fast-moving multi-lane highways. It also features Intelligent Emergency Braking and a total of six airbags, providing a safety standard that often exceeds what is available in base-level competitors.

The bottom line

Perfect for young professionals or small families, this low-mileage Kicks SL offers top-of-the-line features and excellent fuel economy in a package that is famously reliable in the GCC climate.
