Summary

This specific sedan represents one of the most practical and financially sound choices in the current GCC used car market, largely due to its reputation for durability and exceptional fuel efficiency. Having been driven roughly 36,000 km, this vehicle sits at a standard usage level for its age, suggesting it has been used for typical daily commutes rather than heavy-duty work. The super black exterior is a high-demand color in the region, ensuring consistent resale interest across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As a GCC-spec model, it is perfectly adapted for the local climate and benefits from the most accessible service network in the Middle East. This listing offers a near-new experience for a buyer who prioritizes long-term reliability and low overheads.

This Car vs Other 2024 Sunnys

With 36,555 km on the odometer, this car aligns perfectly with the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, indicating a well-balanced usage history for a 2024 model year. The super black exterior is a strong choice for the local market, holding its value significantly better than niche colors at resale. While many 2024 models in the market are high-mileage ex-fleet units, this example presents as a personal-use vehicle that has not yet reached its major 40,000 km service milestone.

S vs Lower Trims

As the starting point in the lineup, the S trim focuses on durability and mechanical simplicity, which many GCC buyers prefer for lower long-term maintenance costs. It includes the essential 7-inch display and Bluetooth connectivity standard, ensuring modern infotainment is present without the added complexity of higher-trim sensors. This trim is favored by those who want the new-generation chassis and fuel-efficient 1.5L engine while keeping initial purchase costs at a minimum.

Sunny vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Sunny leads rivals like the Toyota Yaris and Honda City in terms of rear legroom and trunk capacity, offering a massive 490 litres of boot space. Its suspension is specifically tuned to handle the speed bumps and varying road surfaces common in Dubai and Riyadh more comfortably than the stiffer setups in some competitors. For long-distance driving between emirates, its 41-litre fuel tank paired with the fuel-sipping 1.5L engine provides a total range that minimizes stops on the highway.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a hallmark of this powertrain, delivering a combined 16.8 km/L, which makes it one of the most economical petrol cars for GCC city traffic. Service intervals are set at 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized Nissan centers, which are among the most widespread in every GCC country from Kuwait to Oman. Historically, the Sunny retains approximately 65-70% of its value after three years in the GCC, significantly outperforming European rivals in the same subcompact segment.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine is engineered for urban efficiency and smooth highway cruising rather than raw speed, providing a reliable 108 hp. The automatic transmission is calibrated to keep revs low at highway speeds, which is ideal for the long, straight roads between UAE cities. While it is a front-wheel-drive city car, its 15.5 cm ground clearance is more than adequate for managing gravel parking lots and the occasional sandy roadside common in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin offers class-leading front legroom, making it comfortable for taller drivers during long highway stints. The manual air conditioning system is famously powerful, a critical feature for maintaining cabin temperatures below 22°C even when external summer heat exceeds 45°C. Practicality is enhanced by deep door pockets capable of holding large water bottles and a spacious center console for personal items, catering to the needs of the modern GCC commuter.

Safety

Safety is managed by a standard suite that includes dual front airbags and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). These systems are essential for maintaining control during sudden stops on high-speed highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The inclusion of Brake Assist (BA) provides extra stopping power in emergency situations, ensuring peace of mind for both new and experienced drivers in fast-moving traffic.

The bottom line

This 2024 Sunny S is the ideal opportunity for a budget-conscious buyer in the GCC looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient daily driver that is still under its prime operational window.
