Summary

This 2024 Land Cruiser GXR offers the perfect balance of legendary durability and modern comfort for the GCC driver. With only 58,000 km, this white-on-beige SUV is just entering its prime, benefiting from the high resale demand for white Toyota 4x4s in the local market. The naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 provides a simpler, time-tested alternative to the newer turbo units, ideal for those prioritizing long-term mechanical reliability across borders. Whether navigating Abu Dhabi highway traffic or planning a desert weekend, this GCC-spec LC300 remains the definitive choice for regional versatility.

This Car vs Other 2024 Land Cruisers

At 58,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the global average but aligns with typical GCC highway use for a year-old executive SUV. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for the Land Cruiser in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring faster resale and stronger value retention than darker shades. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the heavy-duty cooling systems and regional warranty support that imported variants lack.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim significantly elevates the cabin experience over the entry-level EXR by introducing premium touches like synthetic leather upholstery and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display. It adds essential GCC conveniences including a remote engine starter for pre-cooling the cabin and a powered back door for easier cargo access. You also benefit from enhanced safety tech, including a rear-view camera and additional parking sensors that are often omitted on base specifications.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol 4.0L, the Land Cruiser LC300 offers a more modern TNGA platform that improves on-road stability without sacrificing its 235 mm ground clearance. Its 110-litre fuel tank provides superior range for cross-country drives compared to the smaller tanks found in European rivals like the Land Rover Defender. Toyota’s body-on-frame construction continues to set the benchmark for durability in extreme desert heat where monocoque SUVs struggle.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V6 averages around 10.6 L/100km on the highway, though city driving in stop-start Dubai traffic will see this rise to approximately 15-16 L/100km. Service intervals are every 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the region, ensuring parts are available from Salalah to Kuwait City. Historically, the Land Cruiser GXR retains roughly 80-85% of its value after three years in the GCC, significantly outperforming its American and European segment competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 is paired with a robust 6-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4WD system featuring a rear differential lock. Off-road performance is managed by Toyota's advanced Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select, allowing the vehicle to maintain momentum through soft sand dunes. With a top speed of 200 km/h and a refined suspension setup, it remains remarkably composed during high-speed highway cruising between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout features tri-zone climate control with dedicated rear cooler vents, a critical feature for maintaining passenger comfort during the peak GCC summer. The cabin is insulated with acoustic glass to minimize wind noise during long desert drives, while the 12.3-inch touchscreen provides seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Five USB charging ports ensure all passengers stay connected during family road trips.

Safety

This GXR comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Dual Front, Side, and Curtain airbags to protect all three rows. Active safety features like A-TRAC (Active Traction Control) and Tire Pressure Monitoring are standard, providing essential stability on gravel and sand. The inclusion of front and rear parking sensors alongside a high-resolution rear camera makes navigating tight city parking garages effortless for a vehicle of this size.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking the ultimate GCC workhorse with mid-option luxury, this 2024 GXR is a secure investment that combines the region's best resale color with proven V6 reliability.
