Summary

This 2025 BYD Han Premium represents a unique opportunity to own a flagship electric sedan with delivery mileage, effectively offering a new-car experience in the secondary market. As a Chinese spec model, it features a higher equipment level than many GCC-spec counterparts, including the large rotating infotainment screen and premium cabin materials that define BYD's Dynasty series. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring better resale liquidity compared to niche colors. Positioned as a direct rival to established executive sedans, this Han combines a refined, silent ride with a range that comfortably handles intercity commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For a GCC buyer, this is a chance to bypass long waitlists and secure a high-spec flagship that is mechanically identical to the models currently dominating the global EV landscape.

This Car vs Other 2025 BYD HANs

With only 26 km on the odometer, this vehicle is in pristine delivery condition, far below the average 20,000 km annual usage typically seen in the GCC market. While many 2025 models are just entering service, this example offers a significant 'near-zero' mileage advantage for collectors or daily drivers. The black exterior is the top-performing resale color for executive sedans in the Gulf, providing a safer long-term investment than lighter or more experimental shades.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim bridges the gap between efficiency and luxury, adding high-value features such as ventilated front seats and Nappa leather upholstery which are essential for GCC summers. It also includes the full DiPilot ADAS suite and the signature 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, offering a significantly more tech-forward cabin than base variants. Unlike the entry-level trims, the Premium version benefits from a larger battery pack, providing the 701 km CLTC range that eliminates highway range anxiety.

HAN vs Segment Rivals

The Han leads rivals like the Tesla Model 3 in interior material quality, utilizing wood and aluminum accents where competitors favor minimalist plastics. Its wheelbase provides superior rear legroom, making it a more suitable choice for executive transport or family use than most compact electric sedans. While rivals may offer higher peak charging speeds, the Han’s Blade Battery technology is specifically engineered for superior thermal stability, a critical factor in the extreme heat of the Arabian Peninsula.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world running costs are exceptionally low, with maintenance limited to 10,000 km check-ups for tires, brakes, and cabin filters, as electric motors remove the need for oil changes. In the UAE, residential charging costs make the Han approximately 70% cheaper to fuel than a petrol executive sedan. While Chinese spec cars do not carry the Al-Futtaim dealer warranty, parts availability is strong due to the high volume of BYD imports, and specialized EV service centers now operate across Dubai and Sharjah. Resale values for the Han remain stable at roughly 75% after three years, outperforming many European luxury EVs.

Performance & Capability

A 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds ensures confident merging onto fast-moving GCC highways, while the 241 hp motor provides smooth, linear torque for city stop-start traffic. The intelligent All Wheel Drive system actively manages traction, which is particularly useful during the occasional heavy rains or on sand-dusted road surfaces. The DiSus-C intelligent damping system allows the car to glide over road imperfections, maintaining executive-level composure at cruising speeds of 120 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and ventilated seats that maintain comfort even in 45°C heat. Acoustic glass and extensive sound insulation ensure a tomb-like quietness, isolating passengers from road noise during long desert drives. The rear armrest features an integrated 7-inch control panel, allowing passengers to adjust their own environment and the panoramic sunroof, a feature typically reserved for much more expensive luxury brands.

Safety

Safety is anchored by BYD’s proprietary Blade Battery, which is designed to be puncture-resistant and thermally stable in high temperatures. The DiPilot system provides a full suite of active safety including Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, and 360-degree cameras that make parking this 5-meter sedan effortless. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel cage provide top-tier passive protection, matching 5-star safety standards for peace of mind on high-speed UAE roads.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-focused professional seeking a flagship electric experience without the premium price tag of a European brand, this delivery-mileage Han Premium is the smartest entry point into luxury EV ownership in the GCC today.
