• Plug-in hybrid powertrain for city and highway efficiency
• 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds

Summary

This 2025 BYD Qin Plus represents a significant leap for the plug-in hybrid segment in the GCC, offering a near-new ownership experience with just 1,000 km on the odometer. As a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest EHS hybrid system updates that prioritize electric-first driving, making it exceptionally quiet and efficient in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the region, known for its superior heat rejection and high resale demand in the secondary market. Compared to traditional petrol sedans, this PHEV offers a dual-motor feel with smooth, immediate torque that transforms the daily commute. For a buyer looking to bridge the gap between internal combustion and full electric, this listing provides a cutting-edge cabin and long-range capability without the need for public charging infrastructure.

This Car vs Other 2025 QIN PLUSs

With only 1,000 km, this vehicle is effectively in showroom condition, far below the typical 20,000 km annual average for sedans in the GCC. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it retains value better than darker alternatives. Being a 2025 model, it features the most recent interior refinements and software updates not found in early-production units.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Standard trim provides a high baseline of technology, including the signature rotatable floating touchscreen and a digital cockpit that rivals luxury segments. It includes essential GCC features such as rear AC vents and a multi-function steering wheel as standard equipment. This trim balances advanced hybrid tech with practical materials, avoiding the high maintenance costs of delicate premium leather found in top-tier exports.

QIN PLUS vs Segment Rivals

The Qin Plus leads rivals like the Toyota Corolla Hybrid and Honda Civic e:HEV by offering a significantly larger combined range of over 1,200 km (CLTC). Its plug-in capability allows for true electric-only commuting for short distances, a feature standard hybrids in this segment cannot match. Furthermore, the interior tech and 10.1-inch rotating display provide a more modern digital experience than its Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency is excellent, with a combined fuel consumption of approximately 3.8L/100km when the battery is utilized. BYD's authorized service network is expanding rapidly across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts for the 1.5L Snapcloud engine are accessible. While Chinese brands are still establishing long-term residual curves, the 2025 Qin Plus is currently seeing strong demand as a value-driven alternative to traditional hybrids, retaining roughly 80-85% of its value in the first year.

Performance & Capability

The hybrid system produces a combined 194 hp, delivering a 0–100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds, which is noticeably quicker than most entry-level petrol sedans. On the highway, the E-CVT provides seamless transitions between the electric motor and the 1.5L engine, maintaining comfort at cruising speeds up to 185 km/h. Multiple drive modes, including EV-priority and HEV-parallel, allow the driver to optimize performance for heavy traffic or long desert highway stretches.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with the GCC climate in mind, featuring a powerful air conditioning system and dedicated rear vents to keep all passengers cool during summer. The 2,718 mm wheelbase translates to generous rear legroom, comfortably accommodating families for cross-emirate trips. Acoustic insulation has been improved for the 2025 model year, significantly reducing road noise during high-speed highway driving.

Safety

Safety is anchored by BYD’s Blade Battery technology, widely regarded for its thermal stability in high-temperature environments. Standard safety features include a comprehensive airbag suite, vehicle stability control, and a high-definition reverse camera. The IPB intelligent braking system provides consistent stopping power, which is particularly useful for the fast-paced, multi-lane highway traffic common across the GCC.

The bottom line

This 2025 BYD Qin Plus is an ideal choice for the tech-forward commuter looking to slash fuel costs without sacrificing highway range. With ultra-low mileage and the most resilient resale color, it represents a smart, low-risk entry into the world of electrified driving.
