Summary

This 2025 Infiniti QX80 represents the absolute cutting edge of the luxury SUV market in the GCC, offering a rare opportunity to own the latest generation with delivery-level mileage. Dressed in the highly desirable Black exterior, this vehicle is positioned for excellent resale value in the local market, where dark premium tones combined with the flagship Autograph trim are consistently in high demand. The transition to the new 3.5-liter twin-turbo powertrain marks a significant evolution, providing far more usable torque for highway overtaking and city driving than the previous V8 generation. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it comes with the peace of mind of a full regional warranty and an air conditioning system specifically engineered to handle 50-degree summer peaks. The Autograph trim with second-row captain chairs transforms the cabin into a private jet experience, making it the perfect choice for families who prioritize individual comfort on long inter-emirate drives. Buying a vehicle this new with such low usage allows you to bypass the initial showroom depreciation while securing a car that essentially feels brand new. For the serious GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the leap in technology and refinement this model offers over its predecessor, setting a new benchmark for the segment.

This Car vs Other 2025 QX80s

With just 712 km on the odometer, this QX80 is effectively a showroom-fresh unit available without the typical wait times associated with new model launches in the GCC. While the average annual mileage for a luxury SUV in the UAE or Saudi Arabia often reaches 25,000 km, this vehicle has barely completed its break-in period, ensuring the mechanical components are in pristine condition. The Black exterior is a strategic choice for the region, widely recognized as one of the top three colors for maintaining high resale value and professional appeal. Unlike many other 2025 listings that may have higher 'demo' mileage, this specific car offers a 'zero-wear' interior and exterior that reflects its recent departure from the dealership. Choosing this specific unit secures a GCC-spec flagship that is already registered and ready for the road, avoiding the administrative delays of a brand-new factory order. It stands out as one of the lowest-mileage examples of the redesigned flagship currently available in the secondary market.

AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The Autograph trim is the pinnacle of the QX80 range, offering a level of interior craftsmanship that significantly surpasses the Luxe or Sensory grades. The most notable upgrade is the inclusion of second-row captain chairs, which provide a business-class seating arrangement featuring specialized consoles and individual climate controls, a feature highly coveted by executive families in the GCC. While lower trims use high-quality leather, the Autograph features semi-aniline quilted leather that stays cooler to the touch and offers superior durability against the region's intense sunlight. You also benefit from a bespoke Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system with 24 speakers, including those integrated into the headrests, which is a massive leap over the standard audio setups in lower tiers. Additionally, this trim includes unique aesthetic touches like the open-pore wood trim and specialized exterior accents that signal its status as the range-topping model. For the GCC owner, these features translate to a more comfortable and prestigious daily commute, especially during the long summer months.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The QX80 competes directly with heavyweights like the Lexus LX600 and the Cadillac Escalade, but it distinguishes itself through its blend of modern Japanese tech and an incredibly smooth new powertrain. Compared to its rivals, the QX80 offers one of the most intuitive infotainment layouts, featuring dual high-definition screens that are easier to operate while navigating busy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Its cabin insulation is specifically designed to minimize wind noise at the high speeds typical of GCC highways, providing a quieter environment than many American-built competitors. The air conditioning system is also a highlights, known for its rapid 'pull-down' time, cooling the large cabin significantly faster than European luxury SUVs. While rivals often lean towards a more rugged off-road feel, this Infiniti focuses on a 'serene' ride quality that makes it a superior choice for the long, straight highway stretches common between Abu Dhabi and Muscat. It provides the space of an Escalade with the mechanical reliability reputation of a Japanese flagship, offering a unique middle ground for the region's elite.

Running Costs & Resale

Despite the move to a more powerful twin-turbo engine, the 3.5-liter V6 offers improved fuel efficiency over the older 5.6-liter V8, which is a welcome benefit for those frequenting long-distance desert road trips. In the GCC, Infiniti enjoys a robust service network with authorized centers throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expertise are always within reach. The QX80 has historically shown strong value retention in the local market, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its German counterparts, losing roughly 10-12% annually compared to 15-18% for European rivals. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains its full value potential at the 3-year mark, as local buyers and dealers prioritize regional specs for their optimized cooling systems and valid warranties. Maintenance is straightforward, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km, and the mechanical shared-DNA with other Nissan-Infiniti products ensures long-term parts availability is never a concern. This makes it one of the most sensible luxury investments in the full-size SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The new 450-horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine is the heart of this beast, delivering a massive 516 lb-ft of torque that allows for effortless highway overtaking, even when fully loaded with passengers. This power is managed by a refined 9-speed automatic transmission that provides smooth shifts, a significant upgrade over the previous 7-speed unit for better efficiency and quietness at speed. While this version is optimized for urban and highway use, its high ground clearance and robust chassis mean it handles the occasional gravel track or sandy coastal path with ease. The 0-100 km/h performance has been improved, feeling much more responsive in the stop-start traffic of major GCC metros. For families who tow jet skis or trailers for weekend adventures, the QX80 maintains a high towing capacity, making it as functional as it is luxurious. The suspension has been tuned to soak up road imperfections, ensuring that whether you are on the E11 or a mountainous road in Fujairah, the ride remains composed and comfortable.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is where the 2025 QX80 truly shines, featuring a 4-seat configuration in this specific Autograph layout that emphasizes individual space and luxury. Both the front and second-row seats are equipped with sophisticated ventilation and massage functions, an essential feature for maintaining comfort during the intense GCC summer. The tri-zone climate control is supplemented by an 'Infrared Biometric Cooling' system that detects passenger body temperatures and directs airflow specifically to those who are too warm. Cabin materials are top-tier, with brushed metal accents and soft-touch surfaces that provide excellent insulation from both heat and external noise. The Klipsch audio system offers a concert-like experience, while the ambient lighting can be customized to suit your mood for night-time city drives. Large windows and an expansive glass roof provide a panoramic view of the skyline while remaining heavily tinted to protect the interior from UV damage and heat soak.

Safety

Infiniti has equipped this flagship with its most comprehensive suite of safety technologies, including ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which is incredibly useful for long, fatigue-inducing highway drives across the desert. The 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection is a vital tool for maneuvering such a large SUV in tight city parking structures. Standard safety features include Predictive Forward Collision Warning—which can see two cars ahead—and Blind Spot Intervention, which is crucial for safety on multi-lane highways with fast-moving traffic. The vehicle also features Lane Departure Prevention and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, ensuring safety from every angle. High-strength steel construction and a comprehensive airbag system provide world-class passive safety, earning top marks in global safety assessments. In the GCC context, these active systems provide an extra layer of security against the unpredictable nature of sand-swept roads and heavy traffic density.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands a brand-new flagship experience without the showroom wait, this 2025 QX80 Autograph is the ultimate GCC family SUV. It combines the highest possible luxury trim with the peace of mind of delivery-level mileage, making it the smartest way to step into the future of Infiniti.
