Summary

This 2025 flagship SUV represents a significant leap forward in luxury, offering a virtually new ownership experience with triple-digit mileage that is exceptionally rare for the GCC market. As the highest Autograph trim, it features a bespoke four-seat configuration with ultra-premium captain chairs that transform the second row into a private lounge, a setup that holds immense resale value among executive buyers in the region. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for this model in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring the strongest possible residual value when it comes time to trade in. Replacing the previous V8 with a sophisticated twin-turbo V6, this generation offers better fuel efficiency without sacrificing the presence and stature that owners expect. For a buyer looking for a showroom-quality vehicle without the initial depreciation hit, this GCC-spec unit is perfectly positioned for immediate use on long highway commutes between emirates. The single most important factor for a GCC buyer here is the full manufacturer-backed support across the region's extensive service network, ensuring peace of mind during the intense summer months.

This Car vs Other 2025 QX80s

With just 382 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially in delivery condition, far below the typical 20,000 to 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While other 2025 models are beginning to enter the used market with thousands of kilometers from initial road trips, this unit offers the pristine feel of a brand-new car. The black exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, as it remains the gold standard for luxury SUVs and consistently commands higher demand in the secondary market compared to brighter or niche colors. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the complexities and potential cooling issues sometimes associated with imported units from other climates. Purchasing this specific example allows a buyer to skip the waiting lists often found at local dealerships for high-demand configurations. It represents a unique opportunity to own the very latest redesign of this iconic nameplate with zero wear and tear.

AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The Autograph trim is a significant step up from the Sensory or Luxe grades, specifically focusing on rear-seat opulence that is highly valued in the UAE and wider Gulf region. The defining feature is the second-row captain chairs, which replace the standard bench to provide an executive seating experience complete with individual climate controls and premium materials. This trim also includes the Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system as standard, an 24-speaker masterpiece that outclasses the standard setups found in lower tiers. You will also find more intricate stitching patterns, higher-grade semi-aniline leather, and unique wood trim accents that are exclusive to the Autograph. Front and rear ventilated seats are standard here, a critical upgrade for the GCC summer that isn't always fully equipped on the base models. Furthermore, the Autograph receives a more comprehensive suite of digital displays and head-up tech that provides an immersive driving environment not seen in the more utility-focused lower trims.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

This model competes directly with the Lexus LX 600 and the Cadillac Escalade, two staples of the GCC luxury SUV landscape. The QX80 distinguishes itself with a significantly more modern interior following its recent grounding-up redesign, offering a more contemporary digital interface than the current Lexus. In terms of cabin cooling, a vital metric for our region, the Infiniti system is renowned for its rapid pull-down speeds even after the car has been sitting in 45°C sun. While rivals often prioritize a three-row utility layout, the Autograph’s four-seat configuration offers superior shoulder and legroom for rear passengers, making it the preferred choice for those who value personal space over maximum occupancy. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine provides smoother power delivery for overtaking on the E11 compared to the older naturally aspirated engines still found in some segment competitors. Its combination of a refined ride and a massive presence on the road gives it a unique edge for those who want a blend of Japanese reliability and American-style scale.

Running Costs & Resale

The move to a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo marks a significant improvement in fuel economy over the previous 5.6-liter V8, making it much more economical for daily commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Expect real-world consumption to be significantly lower during highway cruising, though city traffic in Riyadh or Kuwait City will naturally see higher figures due to idling. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a robust service network with authorized centers easily accessible in every major city across the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Parts availability is excellent, which keeps long-term maintenance costs predictable compared to more niche European luxury brands. Historically, this model maintains roughly 80-85% of its value after three years in the GCC market, performing much better than its Continental rivals. The high reliability of the powertrain and the prestige of the Autograph trim ensure that it remains a liquid asset in the used car market.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is its 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which delivers high torque at low RPMs, making highway merging and overtaking effortless even when fully loaded. The automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, providing a serene environment during long cross-country drives across the desert. While this specific configuration is optimized for paved surfaces and suburban comfort, its high ground clearance and robust chassis allow it to handle gravel tracks and sandy verges with ease. The 0-100 km/h performance is surprisingly punchy for a vehicle of this size, ensuring it doesn't feel sluggish in fast-moving regional traffic. Its heavy-duty suspension is designed to absorb the undulations of regional highways while maintaining a flat, stable profile through corners. This version is built to be a high-speed cruiser that can eat up thousands of kilometers while keeping its occupants in total isolation from the environment.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the Autograph trim is an exercise in high-end craft, specifically tailored for the four-passenger configuration that prioritizes individual comfort. The semi-aniline leather seats are heated and ventilated, providing essential relief during the peak of the GCC summer. The air conditioning system is world-class, featuring multiple zones and dedicated vents for the rear captain chairs to ensure every passenger stays cool. Acoustic glass and extensive sound dampening make the cabin remarkably quiet, shielding you from wind noise on high-speed motorways and the hubbub of city traffic. The Klipsch audio system provides a studio-quality listening experience, while the large panoramic sunroof adds a sense of airiness to the cabin. Generous use of soft-touch materials and real wood across the dashboard and door panels creates a tactile experience that justifies its flagship status. Storage is ample, with a large center console designed to keep refreshments cool during long family road trips.

Safety

Safety is paramount in this flagship, which comes standard with the most advanced ProPILOT Assist technology available in the brand's lineup. This includes adaptive cruise control, which is indispensable for the long stretches of highway between emirates, and a sophisticated lane-keeping system that reduces driver fatigue. Blind-spot intervention and rear cross-traffic alert are particularly useful in the GCC, where multi-lane highways and busy mall parking lots require extra vigilance. The 360-degree Around View Monitor with moving object detection makes maneuvering this large SUV in tight spaces remarkably simple. It also features a comprehensive array of airbags and a reinforced frame designed to meet the highest international safety standards. Emergency braking with pedestrian detection serves as a final layer of protection in unpredictable urban environments like Dubai and Riyadh.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a range-topping, essentially new 2025 SUV in the most desirable GCC specification and color. It is the perfect choice for a buyer who wants the very latest in luxury and technology without the showroom wait, backed by the full security of a local authorized service network.
