Summary

This 2025 Lexus GX550 Premium is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers seeking the latest generation of Lexus's legendary body-on-frame SUV. With only 19,000 km, this vehicle is well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region, offering a nearly new experience at a significant market advantage. As a Premium trim in white, it occupies the most desirable resale niche in the UAE and wider Gulf market, balancing rugged twin-turbo performance with the practicality of a seven-seat layout. For a GCC owner, this model delivers the perfect bridge between a luxury city cruiser and a highly capable weekend desert companion. The vehicle's American regional spec makes it an accessible entry point into the all-new J300 platform while maintaining the legendary reliability Lexus is known for.

This Car vs Other 2025 GX550s

With just 19,000 km on the odometer, this GX550 has seen significantly less use than the average 2025 model in the GCC, which typically covers 20,000 to 25,000 km in its first year. The white exterior is the highest-performing resale color in the regional market, ensuring strong liquidity when it comes time to upgrade. While this is an American spec vehicle, it offers the same fundamental J300 architecture and powertrain as its GCC counterparts, providing a high-value alternative for buyers prioritizing the new generation's tech and power.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

As the foundational grade of the new GX550 lineup, the Premium trim already includes the high-value features GCC buyers demand, such as ventilated front seats and a massive 14-inch touchscreen. It notably retains the versatile three-row, seven-passenger configuration that is removed in the more expensive Overtrail trims. Unlike the base versions of rivals, it comes standard with a full-time 4WD system and a Torsen limited-slip center differential for superior stability on both sand and wet tarmac.

GX550 vs Segment Rivals

The GX550 leads competitors like the Land Rover Defender 110 and BMW X5 in pure utility, offering a class-leading towing capacity of over 4,100 kg. Its body-on-frame construction provides a level of durability for desert driving that monocoque rivals cannot match. Furthermore, the Lexus interface and standard 10-speed transmission offer a smoother long-distance highway experience across the Emirates compared to more utilitarian off-roaders.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus models consistently hold the highest resale value in the GCC, typically depreciating at just 8–10% annually compared to 15%+ for European luxury SUVs. Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V6 averages approximately 13.5 L/100km, which is competitive for a heavy-duty 4x4 in GCC stop-start traffic. While this is an American spec, the extensive Lexus authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures that routine maintenance remains straightforward and parts are widely available.

Performance & Capability

The 3.4L twin-turbo V6 produces a massive 650 Nm of torque, providing effortless highway overtaking and the low-end grunt required for dune crossing. A 0-100 km/h time of approximately 7.0 seconds makes this a surprisingly quick SUV for its size. The standard full-time 4WD and 219 mm of ground clearance allow for confident weekend adventures, while the 10-speed automatic ensures refinement during cross-country drives to Muscat or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the extreme Gulf summer, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and standard ventilated front seats to keep occupants cool in 45°C+ heat. The three-row layout comfortably accommodates seven passengers, making it an ideal choice for large families. Premium NuLuxe upholstery is designed to resist heat absorption, while the 14-inch display provides seamless wireless connectivity for long road trips.

Safety

The 2025 GX550 comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, providing a comprehensive suite of ADAS including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. These systems are particularly beneficial for the high-speed highway traffic typical of the E11. Additionally, Lane Tracing Assist and Blind Spot Monitor come standard, offering essential protection during long desert drives where driver fatigue can occur.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the prestige and power of the all-new GX550 at a competitive price point, this low-mileage Premium trim is the smartest path into the latest generation of Lexus luxury.
