Summary

This 2025 Mazda 3 Select offers a rare opportunity to own a nearly new sedan with the high-efficiency 1.5L powertrain, which is highly sought after for city commuting in the UAE. The Select trim bridges the gap between basic utility and premium comfort, featuring synthetic leather upholstery and advanced driver aids that usually command a premium. With its Beige exterior and GCC specifications, this vehicle is perfectly aligned with regional resale trends, ensuring strong value retention. It stands out in the compact segment for its superior cabin refinement and focus on driver engagement. For a buyer looking for a modern, tech-rich daily driver that balances operating costs with a premium feel, this is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2025 Mazda 3s

With 54,391 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average for its model year. However, this is largely reflective of highway commuting between emirates, where Mazda's Skyactiv engines excel in efficiency. The Beige exterior is a neutral, heat-reflective choice that remains highly desirable in the secondary market across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Select vs Lower Trims

The Select trim adds significant daily luxuries over the base model, most notably the dual-zone automatic climate control which is essential for GCC summers. It also introduces synthetic leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, replacing the basic cloth found in entry-level grades. Additionally, it includes advanced keyless entry and rain-sensing wipers, providing a much more premium ownership experience.

Mazda 3 vs Segment Rivals

The Mazda 3 is often cross-shopped with the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, where it leads in interior material quality and cabin quietness. While the Corolla focuses on utility, the Mazda 3 Select offers a more driver-centric cockpit and a standard 8.8-inch infotainment screen that feels a generation ahead of many rivals. Its fuel tank capacity of 51 liters provides excellent range for cross-border trips compared to smaller-displacement competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 1.5L engine is exceptionally strong, often achieving close to 5.7 L/100km on flat GCC highways. Mazda maintains an extensive authorized service network through Galadari Automobiles in the UAE and similar established distributors in KSA and Oman, ensuring parts are always accessible. Historically, the Mazda 3 holds its value well, typically seeing a depreciation rate of 10-12% annually, making it a safer financial asset than many European compacts.

Performance & Capability

The 100 hp produced by the 1.5L engine is optimized for urban efficiency and smooth cruising rather than outright speed, achieving 0-100 km/h in approximately 10.8 seconds. The Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for responsiveness, avoiding the rubber-band feel of the CVTs found in many segment rivals. It handles GCC highway speeds with surprising composure thanks to a rigid chassis and G-Vectoring Control Plus technology.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to insulate passengers from the intense GCC heat, featuring a powerful A/C system with dedicated rear vents standard on this trim. The five-seat layout is focused on the driver, but the Select trim includes a rear-seat armrest with cup holders for passenger comfort. Acoustic glass helps maintain a hushed environment, even when traveling at 140 km/h on the E11 highway.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are vital for multi-lane highway driving in Dubai and Riyadh. It also features Mazda Radar Cruise Control and Lane-Keep Assist to reduce driver fatigue during long desert stretches. The vehicle is equipped with a full array of front, side, and curtain airbags, maintaining its reputation for 5-star safety performance.

The bottom line

Perfect for the efficiency-minded professional, this Mazda 3 Select offers a premium cabin and top-tier safety at a competitive entry point into the 2025 model year.
