• 14.5 km/L combined fuel economy
• 65-litre fuel tank capacity

Summary

This 2025 MG 7 DEL represents the brand's sharpest pivot toward premium fastback styling, offering a sophisticated Emerald Green finish that holds high appeal in the UAE's luxury-conscious market. With the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, this trim strikes a deliberate balance between spirited 188 hp performance and sensible fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for the daily Sharjah-Dubai commute. As a Chinese-spec model, it offers a high density of technology—including the expansive dual-screen cockpit—that typically commands a much higher premium in its European rivals. For a buyer looking for a modern, tech-forward sedan that stands out from the standard commuter crowd, this nearly new example provides significant value compared to long-term depreciation curves of more established brands.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG 7s

While many 2025 MG 7s entering the market have already begun their heavy-lifting highway duties, this specific listing benefits from being a fresh arrival with negligible wear. The Emerald Green exterior is the signature launch color for this generation and remains one of the most resilient choices for resale value within the GCC's specialized secondary market.

DEL vs Lower Trims

The DEL (Deluxe) trim serves as a significant upgrade over the STD model, adding key features that local buyers prioritize such as a 360-degree panoramic camera and an upgraded digital cockpit environment. It also steps up the interior refinement with premium leatherette surfaces and enhanced driver assistance systems that make long highway stretches between emirates much less fatiguing.

MG 7 vs Segment Rivals

The MG 7 leads competitors like the Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra by offering a 65-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for cross-country drives to Oman or Abu Dhabi. While rivals focus on traditional sedan shapes, the MG’s fastback design and frameless doors offer a premium aesthetic usually reserved for the Audi A5 or BMW 4 Series segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5T engine averages around 14.5 km/L, which is highly competitive for GCC city-to-highway cycles. As a Chinese-spec vehicle, owners should utilize the established independent service networks in the UAE that specialize in MG parts, ensuring maintenance remains affordable compared to European counterparts. While initial depreciation for new Chinese models is steeper than Japanese brands, the high initial feature-set helps stabilize value at the three-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder delivers a verified 188 hp and 300 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 8.1 seconds. This provides more than enough punch for confident overtaking on the E11, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that stays responsive even in the summer heat. The fastback aerodynamics contribute to a stable, quiet cabin experience at cruising speeds of 120-140 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by a 12.3-inch multimedia display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, creating a seamless tech experience. For the GCC climate, the air conditioning system is robust, complemented by dedicated rear vents to ensure passenger comfort during peak summer months. The fastback trunk provides a flexible 375-litre capacity that expands significantly when the rear seats are folded flat for weekend trips.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this DEL trim includes a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as front collision warning and lane keep assist, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The inclusion of a 360-degree camera and transparent chassis technology provides excellent visibility when parking in tight urban spaces across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The bottom line

This MG 7 DEL is the perfect opportunity for a tech-savvy professional who wants the styling of a luxury European fastback with the lower running costs and modern features of a top-tier Chinese sedan.
