Summary

This 2025 MG HS offers a significant jump in refinement and technology, having been completely redesigned for the new model year with a sharper aesthetic and a more spacious interior. With just 8,407 km on the odometer, this white GCC-spec unit represents a near-new opportunity for buyers looking to avoid the initial showroom depreciation while securing a modern family SUV. The Standard trim provides a balanced entry into the segment, featuring a reworked 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that delivers improved torque for easier highway overtaking in UAE traffic. Its white exterior remains the most sought-after color in the GCC market, ensuring strong resale demand and better heat reflection during the peak summer months. For a pragmatic buyer, this listing offers a sophisticated digital cockpit and class-leading space at a highly competitive price point.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG HSs

With only 8,407 km driven, this vehicle sits well below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000 km, making it one of the freshest examples available on the used market. The white paint is the optimal choice for the region, not only for its superior thermal properties in extreme heat but also for its consistently high resale liquidity across all emirates. Choosing this lightly used 2025 model provides the benefits of the latest generation’s structural and technological upgrades without the premium associated with a zero-kilometer vehicle.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the base configuration for the 2025 redesign, the Standard trim is remarkably well-equipped, including the standout dual 12.3-inch screen setup that many rivals reserve for high-spec variants. It includes essential GCC features such as LED 'Hunter-Eye' headlights and a comprehensive digital instrument cluster that replaces traditional analogue dials. While higher trims add features like a 360-degree camera and panoramic sunroof, the Standard trim focuses on core value, providing the same turbocharged powertrain and interior dimensions at a more accessible entry point.

MG HS vs Segment Rivals

The MG HS competes directly with the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, leading the segment in digital cabin real estate with its standard twin-screen layout. Its 2,765mm wheelbase is longer than many established competitors, translating to superior rear legroom for family road trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, the 2025 HS offers a 507-litre boot capacity, providing more practical cargo solutions for daily errands than several compact crossovers in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine achieves a verified combined fuel consumption of 6.9 L/100km, which is highly efficient for a vehicle of this size in GCC stop-start traffic. Maintenance is straightforward, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km or 6 months supported by a growing network of authorized service centers across the UAE and the wider GCC. While Chinese brands typically depreciate slightly faster than Japanese stalwarts, the MG HS holds its value better than most in its class due to high demand for its modern tech suite and transferable manufacturer warranty.

Performance & Capability

The reworked 1.5-litre turbo engine produces 173 hp and 275 Nm of torque, allowing the HS to reach a top speed of 195 km/h. Mated to a new 7-speed 'wet' dual-clutch transmission, the power delivery is smoother than the previous generation, making it well-suited for merging onto fast-moving multi-lane highways. Front-wheel drive provides predictable handling and keeps the vehicle lightweight, ensuring it remains agile in urban environments while maintaining composed stability on long desert highway stretches.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2025 cabin is defined by its 12.3-inch infotainment display and matching digital driver display, which support wireless smartphone integration for seamless navigation and media. High-quality materials and a quiet acoustic design improve long-distance comfort, while the air conditioning system is specifically tuned for GCC climates with a PM2.5 dust filter to maintain air quality during sandstorms. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and class-leading legroom, making it an excellent choice for family weekend getaways.

Safety

Standard safety equipment is robust, featuring MG Pilot technology which includes Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These systems are particularly valuable for long-distance highway driving, providing an extra layer of protection during cross-emirate travel. The vehicle's architecture is built to a high standard, contributing to its reputation for occupant safety in the mid-size SUV segment.

The bottom line

For the tech-focused family buyer in the GCC, this low-mileage 2025 MG HS is the ideal opportunity to own the latest generation SUV with significant savings over a new showroom purchase.
