Summary

This 2025 MG HS Luxury is a standout choice in the GCC used market, offering near-new condition with mileage significantly below the regional yearly average. The Grey exterior is a highly practical and desirable shade that holds strong resale value across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As the range-topping Luxury trim, it provides a premium cabin experience that challenges more expensive European rivals while remaining accessible. It offers a sophisticated balance of turbocharged power and modern tech, making it an ideal family crossover for those who prioritize both style and sensible running costs. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing represents a chance to skip the initial depreciation hit on a current-generation model.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG HSs

With just 18,100 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the GCC, ensuring mechanical longevity and a fresh interior. The Grey finish is a neutral, high-demand color in the region, offering better heat management than black and stronger resale prospects than bolder colors. Being the Luxury trim, it carries the highest level of equipment available for this model year.

Luxury vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim adds essential high-end features that lower trims lack, most notably the twin 12.3-inch digital displays and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. GCC-specific comforts like the panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera come standard here, providing better visibility and cabin ambiance. You also benefit from Level 2 ADAS safety features, which are often absent or limited on entry-level models.

HS vs Segment Rivals

The MG HS leads segment rivals like the Haval H6 and Changan CS75 Plus by offering a more potent 221 hp engine that provides superior highway overtaking ability. It stands out with its 9-speed automatic transmission, which offers smoother shifts than the dual-clutch units found in many Chinese competitors. Its cabin insulation and material quality often surpass basic trims of the Toyota RAV4, offering more luxury for a similar price point.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0T engine is designed for efficiency on long highway stretches like the E11, with real-world combined consumption averaging around 8.6 L/100km. MG has one of the most rapidly expanding authorized service networks in the GCC, with major hubs in Dubai, Riyadh, and Muscat ensuring easy parts availability. While Chinese SUVs generally depreciate faster than Japanese icons, the MG HS is a top performer in its class, typically retaining 55-60% of its value after three years in the UAE market.

Performance & Capability

The 221 hp turbocharged engine delivers a prompt 7.9-second 0-100 km/h time, making it one of the punchier front-wheel-drive crossovers in its class. This power is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving GCC highways or carrying a full family load between Emirates. With a 210 km/h top speed and refined suspension, it remains stable and comfortable during long-distance cross-border drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a modern 'shuttle-style' shifter and twin high-resolution screens that handle everything from navigation to climate. The panoramic sunroof creates an airy feel, while the dual-zone climate control is specifically calibrated to handle the extreme 50°C summer peaks common in the region. With 507 litres of boot space and flat-folding rear seats, it easily accommodates large grocery runs or weekend gear for trips to Hatta or Jebel Jais.

Safety

Safety is a priority with up to seven airbags and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long desert highway commutes. The 360-degree camera makes navigating tight mall parking spots effortless, while Blind Spot Monitoring provides an extra layer of security during high-speed lane changes. It also includes Tyre Pressure Monitoring, a vital feature for monitoring rubber health in high-temperature environments.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-savvy family or professional looking for a modern, high-spec SUV without the premium price tag of a new showroom model. This low-mileage Luxury trim offers the best of MG's current technology and performance in a GCC-ready package.
