• 360 degree camera standard

Summary

This 2025 MG ZS Trophy offers a compelling blend of modern styling and exceptional fuel efficiency, ideal for the budget-conscious GCC commuter. With only 27,000 km, it sits well below the regional average for its age, promising plenty of life for inter-emirate journeys. The eye-catching orange exterior makes it a stand-out choice on the road, while the Trophy trim ensures you are not missing out on premium tech like the 360-degree camera. As one of the fastest-growing brands in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, MG provides a strong authorized service network that ensures peace of mind across the region. This is a practical, feature-rich SUV that delivers high-end equipment at a segment-leading value point.

This Car vs Other 2025 ZSs

With 27,000 km on the clock, this ZS has been driven significantly less than the typical 40,000 to 50,000 km expected for a vehicle of this age in the GCC. The vibrant orange finish is a unique alternative to the standard white and silver, appealing to buyers looking for personality without sacrificing the protection of the manufacturer's warranty. It represents a low-mileage opportunity to secure a current-year model that has already cleared the sharpest part of its initial depreciation curve.

Trophy vs Lower Trims

The Trophy (Luxury) trim is the definitive choice for GCC buyers, adding the essential 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring that are absent on the Comfort trim. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a larger digital cockpit, six airbags instead of two, and a panoramic sunroof that significantly brightens the interior. It also features the more desirable two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels and high-gloss honeycomb grille, giving it a much sharper presence than the base models.

ZS vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks, the MG ZS leads on outright value-for-money, offering a panoramic sunroof and high-definition camera suite at a price point where competitors often stick to basic fabric interiors. Its 448-litre boot is remarkably spacious for a sub-compact SUV, easily handling grocery runs or weekend camping gear. The ZS also benefits from a manufacturer-backed warranty that is often longer than what Japanese or Korean rivals offer in the UAE market.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is a major highlight, with the 1.5L engine achieving a manufacturer-official 17.2 km/L, though GCC city traffic typically sees around 8-10 km/L. Maintenance is straightforward and affordable, with Al Yousuf Motors in the UAE and similar distributors across the GCC providing an extensive network of authorized service centers. While Chinese brands generally face steeper depreciation than Toyota or Nissan, the ZS is currently the strongest value-holder in the MG lineup, retaining approximately 81% of its value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine is tuned for efficiency and smooth city cruising rather than raw speed, providing a reliable and quiet experience on the daily commute. It features a 45-litre fuel tank which, combined with its high efficiency, allows for long-distance cruising between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi without frequent stops. The front-wheel-drive setup and light electronic power steering make it incredibly agile in tight urban parking and stop-start traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly premium for this segment, featuring soft-touch materials on the dashboard and leather-style upholstery in the Trophy trim. GCC-specific cooling is excellent, with a powerful air conditioning system that holds up well against 45 degree summer heat. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated air vents and USB charging ports, making it a comfortable environment for small families during long highway drives.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Trophy trim, which comes equipped with six airbags and the MG Pilot suite of driver assistance systems. Key features include a 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, all of which are invaluable on busy multi-lane highways. The vehicle also includes standard stability control, traction control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system to ensure stability on varying road surfaces.

The bottom line

This is the perfect opportunity for a first-time buyer or a small family to own a current-year, high-spec SUV with low mileage and full regional support.
