Summary

This MG ZS COM offers a fresh entry into the compact SUV segment, blending modern aesthetics with practical urban dimensions. As a white exterior model, it stands out as one of the most resilient choices for resale value in the GCC, where light colors are highly preferred for heat reflection. The 1.5L powertrain is optimized for efficiency, making it an ideal companion for city commutes in Dubai or Riyadh while maintaining enough poise for inter-city highway runs. With its updated 2025 styling and digital-forward cabin, this listing represents a strategic buy for those seeking a new-generation crossover that balances tech features with low long-term running costs.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG ZSs

As a 2025 model, this ZS features the 'New Shape' design language, providing a significantly updated aesthetic compared to the preceding generation. In the GCC market where high annual mileage is common, a late-model ZS like this provides a safety net of modern mechanical integrity and up-to-date software. The white exterior is the top-tier choice for UAE and Saudi Arabian buyers, ensuring the easiest path to resale when the time comes.

COM vs Lower Trims

The COM (Comfort) trim serves as the sweet spot in the range, adding essential upgrades over the base STD model that GCC buyers prioritize. It replaces basic steel wheels with 17-inch alloys and includes roof rails, which add to the vehicle's SUV presence. Inside, the COM trim typically introduces the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and keyless entry with a push-button start, features that define the modern driving experience in the region.

ZS vs Segment Rivals

The ZS competes directly with the Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks, leading the segment in pure technology-per-dirham. It offers a larger standard infotainment display than many rivals and a boot capacity of 448 litres that rivals larger SUVs, making it more practical for family grocery runs or airport trips. The 1.5L naturally aspirated engine is tuned for durability, a key advantage over turbocharged competitors when facing the extreme summer temperatures of the Gulf.

Running Costs & Resale

MG has established one of the fastest-growing authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts availability is high. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km or 6 months, which is standard for the region's climate. While Japanese rivals hold slightly higher historical retention, the ZS has proven to have a stable depreciation curve in the GCC, especially for GCC-spec models which avoid the warranty and cooling complications found in imported regional specs.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 118 hp, delivered smoothly through an automatic CVT designed for fuel efficiency in stop-start traffic. With 161 mm of ground clearance, it easily handles the speed bumps and high kerbs typical of urban GCC environments. While not intended for deep sand, its front-wheel-drive setup is perfectly adequate for weekend visits to gravel-path farm areas or beach-side parking.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with the GCC climate in mind, featuring rear AC vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool during the peak of summer. The leather-style upholstery in the COM trim is easy to maintain against dust and sand, while the flat-folding rear seats allow the cargo area to expand to nearly 1,457 litres. The integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the high-definition screen makes long highway drives between Emirates much more engaging.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive for the class, featuring a suite of active systems including Stability Control, Traction Control, and Brake Assist to manage varying road surfaces. The COM trim includes a rear camera and rear parking sensors as standard, which are vital for navigating tight mall parking structures. Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPMS) is also included, providing essential alerts during high-temperature highway driving when tire integrity is most critical.

The bottom line

This 2025 MG ZS COM is the perfect choice for a young professional or small family looking for a tech-heavy, high-value crossover with the peace of mind that comes from a GCC-spec, new-model-year vehicle.
