Summary

This 2025 Peugeot 2008 in Active trim offers a stylish entry point into the European crossover market with essentially delivery mileage on the clock. Finished in Grey, a neutral and resilient color for GCC sun exposure, it presents a modern alternative to the more common Japanese rivals in its segment. The 1.2-litre turbocharged engine provides a punchy yet fuel-efficient drive suitable for daily city commutes across the Emirates. With its signature LED 'claw' lighting and refined cabin layout, this vehicle stands out for its design-led approach to family motoring. For a buyer in the GCC, this is an opportunity to own a current-year model that balances European flair with the practical requirements of a compact SUV.

This Car vs Other 2025 Peugeot 2008s

With only 4 km on the odometer, this vehicle is effectively brand new, offering a significant advantage over other 2025 models that may have already accumulated standard highway mileage. In the GCC, where the average annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km, starting with a near-zero base protects your long-term resale value. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, showing less dust than black while retaining stronger demand than niche colors.

ACTIVE vs Lower Trims

The Active trim serves as the smart essential starting point for the 2008 range, but still includes premium features like the 10-inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone mirroring. Unlike base configurations in other markets, this GCC-spec Active includes Eco-LED headlights and rear parking sensors as standard. It avoids the higher complexity of the GT's 3D instrument cluster while maintaining the core Peugeot i-Cockpit ergonomics that GCC buyers value for driver-centric comfort.

2008 vs Segment Rivals

The Peugeot 2008 leads competitors like the Nissan Kicks and Kia Stonic in interior material quality and cargo versatility, offering a generous 434-litre boot. While rivals often rely on naturally aspirated engines, the 2008’s turbocharged 3-cylinder provides superior torque for highway overtaking. Its vertical loading height is also noted as one of the best in class, making it easier to fit bulky items like strollers compared to its lower-slung rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.2L turbo engine averages around 6.0 L/100km on the highway, making it an economical choice for inter-city travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and Peugeot has an established authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia to ensure parts availability. While European crossovers traditionally depreciate slightly faster than Japanese brands, the low mileage and GCC-spec status of this 2025 unit help anchor its value in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre PureTech engine delivers 131 hp, allowing for a top speed of approximately 198 km/h, which ensures confident performance on fast-moving UAE highways. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth urban shifts, while the front-wheel-drive setup offers predictable handling in both city traffic and occasional gravel paths. With a 0–100 km/h time of roughly 9.4 seconds, it provides a more spirited driving experience than most budget-oriented crossovers in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Peugeot i-Cockpit features a compact steering wheel and a high-mounted display designed to keep your eyes on the road during long desert drives. The cabin is equipped with automatic climate control, a vital feature for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer months. The seating for five is upholstered in durable fabric, and the 60:40 split-folding rear seats allow the cargo space to expand to 1,467 litres for weekend getaways.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this GCC-spec Active trim includes six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill start assist to handle varied road inclines. It also features cruise control with a speed limiter, which is highly effective for avoiding fines on speed-monitored UAE highways. Active Safety Brake and lane-keeping assistance provide an additional layer of protection, monitoring the road ahead during heavy traffic or long-distance commutes.

The bottom line

This 2025 Peugeot 2008 Active is a virtually untouched example of a modern European SUV, making it a perfect choice for an urban professional seeking style and a full manufacturer-standard lifespan ahead.
