Summary

This 2025 Peugeot 2008 Active arrives with just 3 km on the odometer, offering a factory-fresh entry point into the compact SUV segment. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the GCC, ensuring better heat reflection during summer and holding the strongest resale value in the local used market. As a brand-new model, it provides the latest Peugeot design language and i-Cockpit technology without the depreciation of a used vehicle. It stands out from rivals with its sharp, feline-inspired styling and clever interior ergonomics. For the GCC buyer, this 1.6-litre powertrain is a reliable, naturally aspirated choice that balances city agility with highway efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2025 2008s

With a delivery mileage of only 3 km, this 2025 2008 Active is effectively a new vehicle, placing it at the very top of the used market for condition and longevity. While many 2025 models in the GCC may already show several thousand kilometers of commuter wear, this example provides a full lifecycle of ownership. The white paint is a significant advantage in the UAE and wider region, as it is the most requested color for ease of maintenance and long-term resale stability.

ACTIVE vs Lower Trims

The Active trim serves as the essential entry point, yet it includes standard features often reserved for higher specs in other markets, such as LED daytime running lights and the signature 10-inch touchscreen. It focuses on functional value, providing a 10-inch Quartz digital instrument cluster and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While higher trims like the Allure add a panoramic roof and 3D digital cockpit, the Active maintains a lighter curb weight and straightforward fabric interior that is highly durable for daily GCC use.

2008 vs Segment Rivals

The Peugeot 2008 competes directly with the Kia Sonet and Nissan Kicks, leading the segment with its unique i-Cockpit layout which positions the instrument cluster above the compact steering wheel for better visibility. Its 434-litre boot is larger than many in the sub-compact class, and the vertical loading height makes it more practical for fitting larger suitcases. The French design offers a level of aesthetic sophistication and cabin material quality that often exceeds its more utilitarian Japanese and Korean competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.6-litre engine is designed for efficiency in stop-start city traffic, typically returning around 6.5 L/100km in mixed driving conditions. Peugeot has a well-established authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. European crossovers in this segment generally see a depreciation rate of 12-15% annually in the GCC, but the high demand for compact SUVs helps this model retain value better than larger luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine produces 115 hp, delivering smooth and predictable power perfect for urban navigating and merging onto fast-moving highways like E11. Its front-wheel-drive architecture is paired with a responsive automatic transmission, focusing on fuel economy and ease of use. While not a desert off-roader, its 174 mm ground clearance is more than enough to handle high speed bumps and gravel tracks commonly found in suburban GCC developments.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the driver with the ergonomic i-Cockpit, featuring a 10-inch touchscreen and a small-diameter steering wheel that enhances agility. Despite its compact footprint, it seats five comfortably with dedicated rear cooling vents—a must-have for the GCC climate. The fabric seats with orange contrast stitching stay cooler in the sun than leather alternatives, ensuring immediate comfort during the hottest months of the year.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with 4 standard airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). It also features Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Alert to assist on long desert highway drives. Rear parking sensors and a high-definition display help with visibility, making it one of the easiest SUVs in its class to park in tight city spaces.

The bottom line

This is a zero-mileage 2025 model in the region's best resale color, making it an ideal choice for a young professional or small family seeking European style with new-car peace of mind.
