Porsche 718 Boxster GTS

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds
• 400 hp from a naturally aspirated flat-six
• Top speed of 293 km/h

Summary

This one-year-old GTS presents a rare opportunity for GCC collectors to secure a nearly new example of what many consider the final great naturally aspirated mid-engine Porsche roadster. With just 60 km on the clock, it is essentially a delivery-mileage vehicle, offering a significant advantage over the 20,000 km annual average typical in the UAE and Saudi markets. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable, stable resale choice for the region, avoiding the depreciation traps of more niche colors. In a segment increasingly moving toward electrification and downsizing, this 4.0-liter flat-six provides a mechanical purity that rivals from Lotus and BMW simply cannot replicate. For a driver in the GCC, this is the perfect balance of weekend track capability and top-down coastal cruising.

This Car vs Other 2025 718 Boxsters

With only 60 km recorded, this vehicle stands far below the expected 20,000–25,000 km typical for a one-year-old car in the GCC used market. While many listings show average wear from Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi highway commutes, this example remains in collector-grade condition. The Grey finish is one of the strongest resale colors locally, ensuring better value retention than brighter heritage shades.

GTS vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the GTS trim replaces the 4-cylinder turbo engines found in the Base and S models with a soulful 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six. It also adds standard performance hardware that GCC enthusiasts prioritize, including the Sport Chrono Package, PASM Sport Suspension (lowered by 20mm), and a throatier Sport Exhaust system. The interior is significantly upgraded with Race-Tex upholstery and GTS-specific trim that holds up better under the intense local summer heat.

718 Boxster vs Segment Rivals

The 718 Boxster leads rivals like the BMW Z4 M40i and Lotus Emira through its superior mid-engine balance and legendary Porsche build quality. While the Z4 is a softer cruiser, the Porsche offers a much more direct connection to the road, essential for weekend drives on the Jebel Hafeet or Jebel Jais mountain passes. Its dual-trunk layout also provides more practical storage space for cross-emirate road trips than most exotic competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0-liter engine averages around 10.1–10.9 L/100km, which is efficient for a high-performance six-cylinder during long GCC highway stints. Porsche has a robust authorized service network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, with recommended major service intervals every 20,000 km or 2 years. In the local market, the GTS trim traditionally retains its value better than the turbocharged variants due to its status as an enthusiast favorite.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp output allows for a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds and a top track speed of 293 km/h. This performance is managed by a rapid 7-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive layout featuring Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) for maximum agility in tight corners. The naturally aspirated engine provides immediate throttle response, which is particularly rewarding during high-speed overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is designed for maximum driver focus, featuring heated sport seats and a powerful dual-zone climate control system engineered to maintain cabin temperatures even in 45°C+ summer heat. The insulated soft top can be operated at speeds up to 50 km/h, allowing you to quickly transition to open-air driving when the sun sets. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation keep the cabin remarkably quiet during long desert drives.

Safety

Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), advanced airbags, and front/rear parking sensors with a reversing camera. For the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the GCC, the car is equipped with high-performance six-piston brakes and an integrated roll-over protection system, ensuring peace of mind during spirited coastal drives.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a brand-new driving experience without the wait time, this 60 km GTS offers the ultimate naturally aspirated flat-six roadster in a market-preferred color.
