• 300 mm ground clearance
• 3,800 kg braked towing capacity

Summary

The 2025 RAM 1500 RHO arrives as a high-performance desert specialist, effectively succeeding the legendary TRX with a more agile and advanced powertrain. This black-on-black example features the potent Hurricane High Output engine, delivering 540 hp while offering a significant weight advantage over its V8 predecessors. For GCC buyers, the RHO represents a more balanced and nimble off-roader that excels in soft sand and high-speed dune navigation. With its wide-body stance and factory-tuned long-travel suspension, it stands out as a purpose-built super-truck that transitions seamlessly from weekend desert raids to city daily driving. As a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest interior tech refresh, ensuring it remains at the top of its segment for both luxury and capability.

This Car vs Other 2025 RAM 1500s

With zero mileage on a 2025 model year vehicle, this RHO is essentially brand new and represents the earliest possible access to RAM's latest high-performance platform in the GCC. While typical used pickups in the region average 25,000 km per year, this truck offers a clean mechanical slate and a highly desirable black exterior, which consistently ranks as one of the strongest resale colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets.

RHO vs Lower Trims

The RHO sits at the apex of the RAM 1500 range, adding a reinforced frame and a wider track not found on the Rebel or Laramie. It features professional-grade Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks and 35-inch all-terrain tires as standard. Inside, it upgrades the experience with the RHO-specific performance pages and typically includes the 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen and premium leather-trimmed bolster seats that provide superior support during aggressive off-road maneuvers.

1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM 1500 RHO primarily competes with the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. It leads the Raptor in standard horsepower and offers a more sophisticated cabin experience with superior materials and larger infotainment screens. For the GCC buyer, the RAM's 33-gallon fuel tank provides an advantage for long-distance desert trips and cross-border highway drives compared to smaller-capacity competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L Hurricane High Output engine is more efficient than the outgoing 6.2L V8, with real-world combined consumption of approximately 15.9 L/100km. Maintenance is supported by an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability for this specialized model. While this is a non-GCC spec vehicle, RAM’s global platform ensures mechanical familiarity for local specialists, though buyers should verify local warranty coverage. The RHO's position as the new performance flagship suggests it will retain value strongly, similar to the historical trend set by the TRX.

Performance & Capability

Acceleration is a blistering 4.7 seconds to 100 km/h, matching many sports cars. Its 300 mm of ground clearance and 32 inches of water fording depth make it exceptionally capable in GCC wadi conditions and deep sand. The BorgWarner active transfer case and Dana 60 rear axle with electronic locking differential ensure maximum traction across selectable terrain modes, including a dedicated 'Baja' mode for high-speed desert running.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout in the pickup segment, featuring dual-zone climate control with powerful air filtration and dedicated rear cooling vents—essential for the GCC summer. This 5-seat Crew Cab configuration offers massive rear legroom, rivaling luxury sedans, while the 12-inch digital cockpit provides a fully customizable driver experience. High-quality acoustic glass and active noise cancellation ensure the cabin remains quiet and cool even during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

The RHO comes standard with a full suite of ADAS features, including Blind Spot Monitoring which is vital for multi-lane GCC highways. It also includes Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control for effortless long-distance drives, and a 360-degree camera system to assist with parking this wide-body truck in urban environments. The reinforced high-strength steel frame and advanced airbag system provide top-tier occupant protection.

The bottom line

This 2025 RAM 1500 RHO is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiast to own the newest high-performance truck on the market before it becomes common on GCC roads. It combines the raw acceleration and desert-conquering hardware of a trophy truck with the luxury and technology of a flagship executive vehicle.
