Summary

This 1-year-old Renault Arkana is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers seeking the prestige of a coupe-SUV silhouette without the heavy running costs of a luxury brand. With its metallic Grey finish—a top-tier choice for resale value in the local market—it presents a modern, sharp aesthetic that stays clean longer in dusty conditions. The highly efficient 1.3L turbocharged engine is a perfect match for the UAE's stop-start urban traffic while maintaining enough poise for long highway stints. This specific vehicle offers a nearly-new ownership experience with mileage that falls well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region. For those navigating the fast-paced roads of Dubai or Riyadh, it bridges the gap between a sensible family crossover and a style-led executive commuter.

This Car vs Other 2025 Renault Arkanas

With just 22,992 km on the odometer, this Arkana has seen usage significantly lower than the GCC typical annual average of 25,000 km. While many year-old crossovers in the market have already surpassed 30,000 km, this unit retains a fresh mechanical feel and interior tightness. The Grey exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE, providing a distinct resale advantage over less conventional shades.

EVOLUTION vs Lower Trims

The Evolution trim serves as a high-value entry point that doesn't compromise on the tech GCC buyers demand, including wireless smartphone integration and a full digital instrument cluster. It includes integrated satellite navigation as standard, unlike many base-tier rivals, ensuring seamless connectivity across all emirates. The inclusion of LED lighting all-around and 17-inch alloy wheels ensures it maintains the premium 'Nouvel R' visual identity shared with the range-topping models.

Arkana vs Segment Rivals

The Arkana leads its primary competitors, such as the Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai, by offering a unique fastback design that mimics German luxury coupe-SUVs at a fraction of the cost. Its 513-litre boot capacity is remarkably high for the segment, outclassing many traditionally shaped rivals in sheer depth and ease of loading. For long highway drives between cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, its aerodynamic profile offers better wind-noise insulation than blockier SUV alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a primary strength, with a combined official figure of 5.9 L/100km, making it one of the most economical petrol-powered SUVs in the GCC. Service intervals are generous at 30,000 km or 12 months, supported by an extensive authorized Renault service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Historically, GCC-spec Renaults in this segment maintain stable value, typically retaining 60-65% of their original purchase price after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 1.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 155 hp and 262 Nm of torque, providing a responsive 0-100 km/h time of approximately 9.1 seconds. This power is managed by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that delivers smooth shifts, ideal for the high-speed overtakes common on GCC motorways. With a ground clearance of 198 mm, it handles uneven gravel roads and city speed bumps with ease while maintaining a car-like composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the regional climate with a powerful automatic climate control system and dedicated rear cooling vents to keep all four passengers comfortable during the summer. The interior features high-quality materials including a leather-look steering wheel and supportive bucket-style front seats designed for long-distance comfort. Acoustic privacy glass comes standard, providing essential heat insulation and UV protection for the intense GCC sun.

Safety

This Arkana is equipped with a full suite of safety systems including six airbags and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Standard ADAS features like cruise control with a speed limiter, hill start assist, and electronic stability control provide peace of mind on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The inclusion of rear parking sensors and a high-resolution touchscreen helps navigate tight urban parking spaces in dense city centers like Downtown Dubai.

The bottom line

Perfect for the style-conscious professional or small family, this low-mileage Arkana Evolution offers the best of European design with regional-spec reliability and class-leading fuel economy.
