Renault Arkana EVOLUTION 1.3

Highlights

• 5.9 L/100km combined fuel efficiency
• 485 litres of boot space (seats up)
• 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating

Summary

This 2025 Arkana Evolution is a standout choice for those seeking a modern coupe-SUV aesthetic without the premium price tag of German rivals. With just over 20,000 km, the mileage is exceptionally low for a GCC-based vehicle of this age, effectively offering a near-new driving experience. The crisp white exterior is not only practical for the local heat but also remains one of the strongest colors for resale value across the Emirates. Its 1.3L turbocharged engine delivers a punchy yet efficient performance that is perfectly suited for city commuting in Dubai or high-speed highway runs to Abu Dhabi. For the style-conscious buyer who prioritizes efficiency and a valid regional warranty, this GCC-spec listing represents a smart, low-depreciation entry into the crossover segment.

This Car vs Other 2025 Arkanaes

With only 20,768 km on the clock, this Arkana sits well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for GCC vehicles, indicating light use. Being a 2025 model year, it features the updated 'Nouvel'R' emblem and revised front grille styling that distinguishes it from earlier iterations. The white exterior is the optimal choice for the region, ensuring better thermal management during summer and high demand in the secondary market.

EVOLUTION vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the refreshed 2025 lineup, the Evolution now includes previously optional features as standard, such as the 7-inch Easy Link touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unlike earlier base models, it also comes standard with integrated navigation and full LED headlamps. It provides a clean, essential tech suite that focuses on the core driving experience without the added cost of the Esprit Alpine’s cosmetic upgrades.

Arkana vs Segment Rivals

The Arkana leads the compact crossover segment in aesthetics, offering a sloping coupe roofline that competitors like the Kia Sportage or Hyundai Tucson lack in their standard forms. While those rivals prioritize traditional upright cargo space, the Arkana provides a more aerodynamic profile that aids fuel efficiency on long highway stretches. It bridges the gap between a standard hatchback and a full SUV, offering 200mm of ground clearance which is superior to many road-biased competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a major draw, with an official combined figure of 5.9 L/100km, though real-world GCC city driving typically sees around 7.5 L/100km due to heavy AC usage. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km at authorized Renault centers, which are well-distributed across the UAE and major Saudi cities. The model holds its value well in the GCC, typically retaining 60-65% of its original price after three years, outperforming many niche European brands in the region.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 155 hp and 262 Nm of torque, the Arkana feels surprisingly agile thanks to its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in 9.1 seconds, providing enough confidence for quick merges onto fast-moving multi-lane highways. With a 50-litre fuel tank, drivers can expect a range of over 800 km on a single fill-up during cross-emirate highway cruises.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite the sporty roofline, the cabin remains spacious for four passengers, featuring black fabric upholstery that stays cooler than leather in the afternoon sun. The dual-zone automatic climate control is specifically calibrated for high-ambient temperatures, ensuring the cabin reaches a comfortable temperature quickly after being parked. Rear AC vents are included as standard, a critical feature for passenger comfort during the peak GCC summer months.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, supported by six airbags and a robust suite of electronic aids including stability control and hill start assist. The Evolution trim includes a rear-view camera and parking sensors as standard, which are invaluable for navigating tight urban parking spots. Cruise control with a speed limiter is also standard, helping drivers avoid fines on the UAE’s strictly monitored highway networks.

The bottom line

Perfect for the urban professional or small family, this low-mileage 2025 Arkana offers the styling of a luxury coupe-SUV with the sensible running costs of a compact crossover.
