Summary

The 2025 Seres 5 Premium enters the GCC market as a high-performance alternative to the established electric and hybrid SUV segments. This specific model features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that delivers exceptional acceleration while maintaining the long-distance practicality of a petrol-assisted range extender. The Premium trim includes high-end cabin finishes like Nappa leather and ventilated seats that are essential for the local climate. Given its recent launch and the rising popularity of high-tech Chinese SUVs in the UAE, this listing represents an opportunity to own a current-year model with performance figures that rival high-end European sports crossovers.

This Car vs Other 2025 Seres 5s

As a 2025 model, this Seres 5 represents the latest technological iteration for the brand in the GCC. With effectively no mileage since production, it avoids the typical 20,000 km annual wear seen on many used regional SUVs. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common white and silver fleet, offering a distinct profile in city traffic while remaining a stable choice for future resale.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the Standard RWD model by adding a second electric motor for All-Wheel Drive and doubling the performance output. GCC buyers will particularly value the inclusion of ventilated front seats with massage functions and a 360-degree camera system, which are often optional or absent in entry-level configurations. It also features a larger infotainment display and an upgraded head-up display for better visibility during bright daylight driving.

Seres 5 vs Segment Rivals

The Seres 5 Premium competes directly with the Tesla Model Y and the BYD Tang. It leads many rivals with its 1,130 km combined range (WLTP), which significantly reduces range anxiety during long drives from Dubai to Muscat or Riyadh. Additionally, its dual-motor setup provides a 4.0-second sprint time that outperforms many similarly priced European plug-in hybrids.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency is excellent for its class, benefiting from the hybrid system's ability to handle GCC stop-start traffic on electric power alone. The 1.5-liter engine serves as a generator, meaning it requires standard petrol and periodic oil changes, supported by a growing authorized service network in the UAE and wider GCC. While Seres is a newer entrant to the market, the Premium AWD trim is expected to hold value better than RWD variants due to its higher performance demand in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

This SUV delivers a rapid 0-100 km/h time of 4.0 seconds, making it one of the quickest crossovers in its price bracket. The All-Wheel Drive system provides reliable traction on gravel surfaces and during heavy seasonal rain, while the multi-link independent suspension ensures highway stability at cruising speeds. Its 200 km/h top speed and immediate torque delivery make highway overtaking effortless, even when fully loaded with five passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC environment, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and ventilated Nappa leather seats to keep occupants cool. A 15.6-inch central touchscreen manages the vehicle's tech suite, while the panoramic roof is treated to reflect heat. Acoustic glass is standard on the Premium trim, significantly reducing road noise during high-speed desert highway commutes.

Safety

The Seres 5 comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Forward Collision Warning, all of which are vital for safety on fast-moving GCC motorways. The 360-degree high-definition camera system simplifies parking in tight urban spaces, while multiple airbags and a high-strength steel chassis provide robust protection. Standard stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned to handle varied road surfaces from tarmac to sand-swept asphalt.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking supercar-level acceleration and a luxurious cabin without the range limitations of a pure EV, this 2025 Seres 5 Premium is a technically superior and highly practical choice for the Middle East.
