Summary

This 2025 Seres 5 Premium represents a sophisticated entry into the GCC’s growing hybrid market, blending a 1.5-litre range-extender with electric efficiency. As a brand-new model in the classic Arctic White, it offers the strongest possible resale potential for the region while avoiding the range anxiety of pure EVs. This trim stands out by integrating Huawei-developed cabin technology with a premium interior designed to rival established European luxury crossovers. For the UAE buyer, it provides a unique balance: silent city commuting and the endurance needed for long-distance desert highway runs. With its GCC regional specification, you are assured of hardware and cooling systems optimized for the local climate.

This Car vs Other 2025 Seres 5s

As a brand-new 2025 model with zero mileage, this vehicle offers a significant advantage over earlier iterations that lacked the latest Huawei DriveONE software updates. The choice of Arctic White is a strategic move for the GCC market, as it is the most sought-after color for heat reflection and long-term value retention. Compared to the average used SUV in the Emirates, which typically clocks high annual mileage on commuter routes, this car provides a pristine mechanical starting point.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the Standard variant by adding essential comfort features like ventilated front seats, which are a necessity during GCC summers. It also introduces a more comprehensive ADAS suite, including a 360° camera and a larger 15.6-inch 2K infotainment display. Furthermore, the Premium trim includes Nappa leather upholstery and an 11-speaker premium audio system, providing the refinement expected in the luxury crossover segment.

Seres 5 vs Segment Rivals

The Seres 5 competes directly with the Tesla Model Y and BMW iX3, but gains a massive edge in flexibility due to its range-extender hybrid setup. While its rivals are limited by charging infrastructure on long cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia, the Seres 5 offers over 1,000 km of combined range. Additionally, its cabin tech and interior material quality often exceed the minimalistic approach found in its American competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is exceptional for an SUV of this size, particularly in stop-start city traffic where the electric motor handles the majority of the load. Service intervals are typically spaced every 10,000 km at authorized service centers, which are expanding their footprint across major GCC cities like Dubai and Riyadh. As a relatively new brand in the region, depreciation is slightly higher than Japanese legacy brands, but the high equipment level and hybrid efficiency help maintain a competitive second-hand price.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 280 hp hybrid system, the Seres 5 offers smooth, linear acceleration that makes highway overtaking effortless on the E11. The rear-wheel-drive configuration provides balanced handling, while the 180 mm ground clearance allows it to navigate gravel tracks and suburban speed bumps with ease. Selectable drive modes allow you to prioritize pure electric silent driving or engage the range-extender for maximum endurance on cross-country road trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen and features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for a tech-forward feel. Standard ventilated seats and a high-performance air conditioning system ensure rapid cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated climate vents and a panoramic glass roof that provides an airy feel, while acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from highway wind noise.

Safety

The Seres 5 Premium comes equipped with a full ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking, which are invaluable for fast-moving highway traffic. The standard 360° camera and parking sensors make navigating tight mall parking spots simple. Additionally, the vehicle features multiple airbags and a reinforced chassis designed to meet modern international safety standards.

The bottom line

This 2025 Seres 5 Premium is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy buyer who wants the luxury of a premium EV without sacrificing the range flexibility required for the GCC lifestyle. It is a rare opportunity to own a high-spec, GCC-compliant hybrid at a more accessible price point than its European rivals.
