• 110-litre total fuel tank capacity
• Low-range transfer case with locking differentials

Summary

This 2025 VXR represents the peak of Toyota's Land Cruiser 300 series, combining a high-output twin-turbocharged engine with the most prestigious luxury trim available. With mileage currently under the average annual usage for the GCC, this vehicle offers a significant advantage for those seeking a newer model with its first major maintenance interval still in the future. The black exterior is the premier choice for resale strength in the regional market, ensuring strong demand when it eventually comes time to upgrade. As a GCC-spec flagship, it provides the cooling performance and refined ride quality essential for trans-emirate highway travel and high-temperature summers.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

At 25,000 km, this Land Cruiser has been driven significantly less than the typical 35,000 to 45,000 km usually accumulated by high-use family SUVs in the GCC over a similar period. The black exterior is a Tier-1 resale color in the regional market, offering a faster sale and better value retention than more niche shades. Choosing a 2025 model provides the most up-to-date software and refinement improvements within the 300-series generation.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR adds substantial luxury over the GXR and VX trims, most notably featuring the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) which significantly improves highway comfort and reduces body roll. Inside, the VXR is distinguished by premium leather upholstery, ventilated front seats for the GCC summer, and an upgraded JBL 14-speaker sound system. It also includes the full suite of Toyota Safety Sense features, such as lane-keep assist and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor as standard.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser 300 leads the Nissan Patrol in terms of modern engine efficiency thanks to its 10-speed transmission, making it more suited for long-distance highway cruising across the GCC. Its 110-litre dual fuel tank configuration offers a superior driving range compared to the Land Rover Defender, an essential factor for remote desert exploration. Additionally, the Land Cruiser maintains the highest resale value in the GCC segment, often outperforming rivals by double-digit percentages after three years.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V6 averages around 10.1 km/L, which is highly competitive for a full-size SUV in GCC stop-start traffic. Authorized service centers are available in every major city across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring maintenance is never more than a short drive away. Historically, the VXR trim holds approximately 85-90% of its value after the first year in the GCC, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo engine enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in roughly 6.7 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed desert highways. Its full-time 4WD system, combined with a central differential lock and Multi-Terrain Select, allows for professional-grade dune bashing and off-road capability. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is perfectly equipped for hauling boats or trailers between coastal and inland emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

This 7-seater configuration is optimized for family logistics, featuring a power-folding third row and dedicated rear-seat climate zones with powerful cooling vents for every passenger. The VXR cabin is exceptionally well-insulated against the exterior heat and wind noise common during high-speed highway travel. Technology highlights include a 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment display and a cooled center console refrigerator for keeping beverages cold during long summer drives.

Safety

The VXR comes standard with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control which is invaluable for the long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Passive safety is bolstered by a comprehensive 10-airbag system and a high-strength TNGA-F frame designed for maximum impact protection. Specialized systems like Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide essential assistance in fast-moving, multi-lane GCC traffic.

The bottom line

This 2025 VXR is the definitive choice for the GCC buyer who wants the region's most reliable flagship SUV in its highest luxury specification with well-below-average mileage.
