Summary

This 2026 BMW 740i M Sport is a prime example of the latest G70 generation, offering a sophisticated presence in the GCC market with its sleek Grey exterior. As a brand-new model year, it benefits from the latest iDrive updates and the refined 48V mild-hybrid system that ensures smooth delivery in heavy Dubai or Riyadh traffic. The 7 Series has always been a benchmark for executive transport in the region, and this 740i strikes the perfect balance between performance and long-distance cruising efficiency. With its regional GCC specification, owners enjoy optimized cooling systems essential for the extreme summer heat. Choosing the 740i right now offers a distinct advantage in tech-forward luxury without the steep entry costs of the V8 variants.

This Car vs Other 2026 740is

With zero mileage, this 2026 model represents the absolute peak of the current generation's mechanical maturity. While many 7 Series in the GCC market accumulate high highway mileage quickly due to frequent inter-city travel, this fresh unit provides a clean slate for its first owner. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the UAE and wider GCC, offering excellent heat reflection properties and maintaining strong resale demand compared to more niche colors.

M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim is the essential choice for GCC buyers, adding the aggressive M Aerodynamic body styling and 20-inch M Star-spoke wheels that significantly enhance its road presence. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with an M leather steering wheel and unique interior trim finishers not found on the base Design Pure Excellence models. Most importantly for our climate, this trim often includes the Shadowline exterior trim, which replaces chrome with high-gloss black for a more modern, heat-durable aesthetic.

740i vs Segment Rivals

The BMW 740i leads the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8 in digital integration, specifically featuring the massive 14.9-inch curved display and advanced BMW Maps that perform exceptionally well with local topography. Its inline-six engine is widely regarded as more reliable for long-term GCC ownership than the complex V6 arrangements in some rivals. Furthermore, the 540-litre boot capacity offers superior practicality for family airport runs or golf trips compared to the hybrid-limited space in the S-Class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0-litre mild-hybrid powertrain is optimized for efficiency, averaging approximately 7.9 to 8.5 L/100km on the highway, making it an ideal long-range cruiser across the Emirates. Authorized service centers for BMW are extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that maintaining the manufacturer warranty is straightforward. While flagship sedans face high initial depreciation, the 740i historically retains a higher percentage of its value than the 760i due to its lower running costs and broader appeal in the used market.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 375 hp and 540 Nm of torque, the 740i reaches a top speed of 250 km/h with ease. The rear-wheel-drive configuration paired with the standard adaptive air suspension provides a cloud-like ride quality that masks the imperfections of older road surfaces. Driver-selectable modes allow you to stiffen the chassis for the winding roads of Jebel Hafeet or soften it for the daily commute between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring four-zone automatic climate control and a powerful AC system specifically tuned for regional temperatures. The M Sport seats provide excellent lateral support while maintaining high levels of comfort for all five passengers. High-quality acoustic glazing ensures the interior remains pin-drop quiet, isolating occupants from both external heat and high-speed wind noise during cross-country drives.

Safety

Standard safety features include the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a large Head-up display, ensuring your eyes stay on the road at high highway speeds. The suite includes Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation, which are invaluable for navigating the fast-paced, multi-lane traffic common in major GCC cities. Parking Assistant Professional is also standard, making the vehicle's significant footprint easy to manage in tight underground parking.

The bottom line

This 2026 BMW 740i M Sport is the ideal acquisition for an executive or family seeking the latest in German flagship technology with the peace of mind that comes from a brand-new, GCC-spec vehicle.
