As a brand-new vehicle with zero years of age, it offers the latest fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology, ensuring exceptional efficiency in both heavy city traffic and long-distance highway cruising. The Premium trim is highly desirable in the local market, as it adds the ventilated seats and panoramic roof that GCC buyers prioritize for summer comfort. Its silver exterior is a top-tier resale color in the region, ensuring it holds its value better than more niche shades. For anyone balancing a daily commute in Dubai or Riyadh with the need for long-range weekend travel, this PHEV offers a level of versatility that few rivals can match.

This Car vs Other 2026 SEAL 06s

This specific listing represents a brand-new 2026 model with no age-related wear, placing it at the very top of the used market hierarchy. In a region where annual mileage often exceeds 25,000 km, starting with a zero-meter vehicle provides a significant longevity advantage. The silver finish is particularly well-suited for the GCC, as it reflects heat effectively and remains the most liquid color for future resale.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base models by adding essential GCC comforts. You get ventilated front seats and a high-quality panoramic glass roof, along with larger 18-inch alloy wheels that provide a more planted stance on the highway. It also includes an upgraded 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen and a wireless smartphone charging pad, features that are often optional or absent on lower specifications.

SEAL 06 vs Segment Rivals

The Seal 06 competes directly with the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Honda Accord, but it leads the segment with its massive 2,110 km combined range and a much larger dedicated electric-only capacity. While rivals are often traditional hybrids, the Seal 06's plug-in architecture allows for a completely fuel-free commute. Its cabin tech, highlighted by the rotating DiLink display, feels a full generation ahead of the more conservative Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are remarkably low, with an official combined fuel consumption of just 2.9L/100km when utilizing the hybrid system. For many GCC residents, the 128 km electric range covers an entire day's driving, meaning trips to the petrol station become rare. BYD's presence in the GCC is supported by established partners like Al-Futtaim in the UAE, providing a reliable service network. While Chinese PHEVs are newer to the market, the Seal 06's high efficiency and tech-heavy spec are expected to support strong value retention as fuel-saving vehicles become more prioritized.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L naturally aspirated engine works in tandem with a powerful electric motor to produce 174 hp, delivering a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive layout provides a balanced, executive driving feel that remains stable at highway speeds across the Emirates. It is designed to prioritize efficiency without feeling underpowered, offering plenty of torque for overtaking in fast-moving traffic. The transition between electric and petrol power is virtually seamless, managed by BYD's intelligent E-CVT transmission.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a quiet sanctuary, heavily insulated to keep the intense GCC heat at bay. The Premium trim's ventilated seats are a game-changer during the summer months, providing immediate relief that standard leather seats cannot. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents and a flat floor, making it a genuine five-seater for family trips. The panoramic roof features a high-quality sunshade to block out the midday sun while still allowing for an airy, open feel during evening drives.

Safety

Safety is a core focus, with the Seal 06 featuring the full DiPilot ADAS suite as standard. This includes adaptive cruise control, which is essential for the long desert highways between cities, and a 360-degree camera system for easy parking in tight urban spaces. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist provide an extra layer of protection in fast-moving multi-lane traffic, while eight airbags provide comprehensive passive safety for all occupants.

The bottom line

This 2026 Seal 06 Premium is the perfect opportunity for a tech-savvy buyer who wants the fuel savings of an EV without any range anxiety for long GCC road trips. It is a highly specified, high-resale-color vehicle that is ready for immediate delivery.
