Summary

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro offers a rare combination of near-zero mileage and cutting-edge technology, making it an exceptional find in the current GCC market. Finished in high-resale White, it stands out for its 2,715 mm wheelbase, providing rear legroom typically reserved for larger SUVs. The Blue Whale 1.5T engine delivers a punchy 192 hp while maintaining efficient fuel consumption, ideal for both city traffic and cross-emirate highway runs. With a tech-forward 30-inch triple-screen cockpit, it bridges the gap between value and premium performance. For a GCC buyer, this model provides modern reliability and a surprisingly sophisticated multi-link rear suspension that enhances long-distance comfort.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluses

With just 11 km on the odometer, this X5 Plus is essentially a brand-new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over the typical 20,000 km annual mileage seen in the GCC used market. The White exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring better heat reflection during peak summer and holding its value better at resale compared to darker tones. It offers a fresh start with full mechanical life ahead of it.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim is the high-spec choice that adds essential features for the GCC climate and driving style, including an openable panoramic sunroof and automatic constant temperature air conditioning with rear vents. It significantly upgrades the technology package with a 540-degree transparent chassis camera system and L2-level intelligent driving assistance, which are absent on entry-level models. Inside, you also get 6-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat and premium perforated faux leather sports seats.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X5 Plus competes directly with the Geely Coolray and MG One, leading the segment with a longer 2,715 mm wheelbase that provides superior rear passenger comfort for family road trips. Unlike many rivals that use a simple torsion beam rear setup, the X5 Plus features multi-link independent rear suspension, offering a more stable and refined ride on UAE highways. Its 584-liter boot capacity also significantly outperforms the Coolray, making it the more practical choice for shopping and travel.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5T Blue Whale engine is designed to run efficiently on 92-octane gasoline, helping to keep running costs lower than rivals requiring premium fuel. Real-world fuel consumption averages between 6.5 and 7.5 L/100 km, depending on whether you are navigating stop-start city traffic or cruising on the E11. Changan has established a strong and growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, supporting long-term reliability. Resale value for this trim remains competitive due to the high demand for tech-heavy compact SUVs in the local market.

Performance & Capability

Outputting a verified 192 hp and 310 Nm of torque, the X5 Plus achieves a swift 0-100 km/h time of 7.51 seconds, providing plenty of confidence for highway overtaking. The 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is specifically tuned for smooth shifts even in the high-heat conditions typical of the GCC summer. Multiple drive modes, including Sport and Economy, allow you to tailor the vehicle’s response to your daily commute or weekend excursions. While road-biased, its high-strength chassis and multi-link suspension manage uneven suburban roads and gravel paths with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is dominated by a 30-inch integrated triple-screen digital cockpit that provides a futuristic feel and seamless smartphone integration. Comfort is prioritized for the GCC environment with independent rear air outlets and a center console that includes cooling functionality for beverages. The five-seat layout is spacious enough for five adults, and the acoustic insulation is designed to keep the cabin quiet and cool during long desert highway drives. The cargo area is highly versatile, expanding from 584 liters to a massive 1,318 liters with the rear seats folded.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Beyond Pro trim, which comes standard with a full suite of L2 intelligent driving aids including Active Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Assist. The 540-degree transparent chassis camera system is particularly useful in tight urban parking and navigating around unseen obstacles. The vehicle is constructed with a high-strength steel frame and equipped with front and side curtain airbags, tire pressure monitoring, and electronic stability control to ensure peace of mind on fast-moving GCC highways.

The bottom line

For the tech-savvy buyer seeking a brand-new SUV experience without the new-car showroom price, this 2026 Beyond Pro is the smartest entry point into the compact crossover segment.
