Summary

This 2026 Chery Arrizo 5 Comfort is a highly efficient choice for city commuters and small families looking for a modern sedan with exceptionally low running costs. With mileage currently under 15,000 km, this vehicle presents as a nearly-new option for buyers seeking recent-year technology without the new-car showroom price. The striking Blue exterior is a vibrant alternative to the typical monochromatic colors in the GCC market, while still remaining a popular choice for local resale. The Comfort trim bridges the gap between basic utility and modern tech, offering a leather-trimmed interior and an 8-inch touchscreen as standard. For a buyer in the UAE, the combination of a remaining factory warranty and a simplified mechanical setup makes this one of the most sensible ownership propositions available today.

This Car vs Other 2026 Arrizo 5s

With just 14,845 km on the odometer, this Arrizo 5 has covered significantly less ground than the 20,000–25,000 km typical of a car its age in the GCC. While many 2026 models in the region have already been pressed into heavy commuter service, this example remains in high-quality condition. The Blue exterior provides a distinct road presence while remaining easy to maintain in the local climate.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim adds essential upgrades over the base model that are particularly valued by UAE drivers, including 16-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded infotainment system with smartphone mirroring. Inside, you get a higher-quality upholstery finish and the addition of a rear-view camera, which makes navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or Abu Dhabi far more convenient.

Arrizo 5 vs Segment Rivals

The Arrizo 5 competes directly with the MG 5 and Kia Pegas, leading the segment with its generous 430-liter boot space and overall cabin width. Its 1.5L engine is specifically tuned for efficiency in stop-start traffic, offering a more modern interior layout than many entry-level Japanese competitors. For those driving between Emirates, the 48-liter fuel tank provides a reliable highway range.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a standout, averaging approximately 7 L/100km in combined driving, which keeps monthly costs predictable even for high-mileage users. Chery has established a robust authorized service network across the UAE and the wider GCC, ensuring parts availability and professional maintenance. While Chinese brands typically depreciate around 20-30% in their first year, this model's low mileage and current-year status help it retain value better than older or higher-mileage alternatives.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 114 hp and 141 Nm of torque, providing adequate power for urban commutes and confident cruising at 120 km/h on the E11 highway. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness rather than aggression, ensuring a relaxed driving experience in heavy traffic. With a top speed of 180 km/h and front-wheel-drive stability, it handles the diverse road surfaces of the GCC with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the heat, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to keep all five passengers cool during the peak of summer. The interior layout is centered around an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing for seamless navigation and media control. Soft-touch materials on key contact points and ergonomically designed seats ensure comfort during long drives between cities.

Safety

Standard safety features on the Comfort trim include dual front airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). For daily commuting, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and rear parking sensors with a camera provide essential assistance. The Arrizo 5 also includes ISOFIX child seat anchors, making it a safe choice for young families in the region.

The bottom line

For a commuter or small family looking for a nearly-new vehicle with high-tech features and low fuel costs, this Arrizo 5 is a standout opportunity that effectively bypasses initial depreciation.
