Chery Arrizo 5 COMFORT 1.5

Highlights

• 7 L/100km combined fuel consumption
• 430 litres boot space
• 180 km/h top speed

Summary

This 2026 Chery Arrizo 5 Comfort is a nearly-new compact sedan with just 9,057 km, making it a standout choice for buyers looking to bypass new-car depreciation while retaining that fresh-off-the-lot feel. As a 2026 model with zero years of age, its mileage is significantly below the average for its year in the GCC market, where highway commuting typically adds 20,000 km annually. The silver exterior is one of the most practical and high-resale colors for the region, naturally hiding dust and reflecting the intense summer heat. This Comfort trim offers a major equipment leap over the base model, including essential smartphone mirroring and a rearview camera. It remains one of the most competitive options for first-time buyers or families seeking a reliable city commuter with modern tech and low running costs.

This Car vs Other 2026 Arrizo 5s

With only 9,057 km on the odometer, this Arrizo 5 is in the lowest mileage tier for the 2026 model year currently available in the GCC. While many of these vehicles enter fleet or high-use rental service, this specific example shows the limited wear of a sparingly used private car. The silver paint is a strategic choice for the GCC, maintaining its luster longer in desert conditions compared to darker shades and supporting a higher trade-in value.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim adds significant daily-use technology that the base MT or CVT models lack, most notably an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also benefit from a high-definition rearview camera with dynamic guidelines and rear parking sensors, which are vital for tight urban parking in the UAE. Additional upgrades include cruise control for effortless highway drives between emirates and stylish alloy wheels that elevate the sedan's exterior presence.

Arrizo 5 vs Segment Rivals

The Arrizo 5 competes directly with the MG 5 and Kia Pegas, standing out with its superior 430-litre boot capacity and a wider body that offers better shoulder room for three rear passengers. While the Suzuki Dzire is more compact, the Arrizo 5's longer 2,670mm wheelbase provides a more stable highway ride, making it better suited for long-distance trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It balances the high-tech interior typical of Chinese manufacturers with a proven 1.5L powertrain.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a core strength, with a combined consumption of approximately 7 L/100km, which translates to over 650 km of range from its 48-litre tank. Chery has expanded its authorized service network significantly across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are readily available and affordable. The Arrizo 5 typically sees a stable depreciation curve after the initial year, often holding its value better than lesser-known budget brands due to its popularity in the regional used market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine producing 114 hp, the Arrizo 5 is tuned for smooth urban delivery via its CVT transmission. It reaches a top speed of 180 km/h, which is more than adequate for GCC highway limits, and its 11.5-second 0-100 km/h time makes it a capable city navigator. The electric power steering is light and responsive, specifically calibrated for easy maneuvering in stop-start traffic and multi-level parking structures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to handle the GCC climate with a powerful air conditioning system and dedicated front and rear vents to ensure rapid cooling during the summer months. High-quality fabric seats offer better heat resistance than leather when the car is parked in direct sunlight. Tech highlights include steering-wheel-mounted audio controls and a clear digital cockpit display that provides real-time vehicle data, keeping the driver informed without distraction.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include dual front SRS airbags and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) which is essential for maintaining control on sandy or rain-slicked roads. It is also equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that alerts you to changes caused by extreme heat. The inclusion of ISOFIX child seat anchors makes it a safe and practical choice for young families.

The bottom line

This 2026 Chery Arrizo 5 Comfort is the perfect opportunity to own a current-model-year sedan with extremely low mileage and the best resale color for the GCC. It offers the ideal balance of modern technology and high efficiency for a buyer who wants a trouble-free ownership experience from day one.
