Land Rover Defender 110 OCTA P635

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.0 seconds
• 323 mm maximum ground clearance
• 1,000 mm wading depth

Summary

This 2026 Land Rover Defender 110 OCTA represents the peak of the nameplate’s evolution, pairing a BMW-sourced twin-turbo V8 with the most advanced suspension ever fitted to a Land Rover. As a flagship trim with virtually no mileage, it commands a premium in the GCC market where high-performance off-roaders like the Mercedes-AMG G63 are its primary rivals. The OCTA’s unique 6D Dynamics suspension allows it to remain flat during high-speed cornering on the E11 while providing massive wheel articulation for weekend desert expeditions. For a GCC buyer, this is a rare opportunity to own a production-limited supercar in an SUV body that is fully optimized for extreme heat and sand.

This Car vs Other 2026 Defender 110s

While most 2026 Defenders in the GCC market are the P400 or P500 variants, this OCTA P635 is a distinct performance tier. It features a significantly wider track and flared wheel arches that are not found on standard models, giving it a much more aggressive presence on the road. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated choice that holds strong resale value in the region, particularly when paired with the OCTA-exclusive bronze and carbon accents.

OCTA P635 vs Lower Trims

The OCTA P635 replaces the supercharged 5.0L engine with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8, gaining over 100 hp and a sophisticated mild-hybrid system for instant torque. It adds the revolutionary 6D Dynamics suspension, which uses interlinked hydraulics to eliminate traditional anti-roll bars, providing a level of on-road composure lower trims cannot match. Inside, it features performance-bolstered Body and Soul Seats (BASS) that use transducers to allow passengers to feel the audio through the seat frame.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 110 OCTA directly challenges the Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Lamborghini Urus by offering a superior 1,000 mm wading depth and legitimate rock-crawling capability that those road-biased rivals lack. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a greater touring range for cross-border GCC drives compared to the smaller tanks often found in high-performance Italian SUVs. Furthermore, the Defender's Terrain Response 2 system with a dedicated 'OCTA Mode' is specifically calibrated for high-speed desert dunes, a feature that sets it apart from more traditional luxury cruisers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P635 twin-turbo V8 averages approximately 13.5 L/100km, though this will increase during stop-start traffic in major GCC cities. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from the full authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with recommended service intervals typically every 13,000 km or 12 months. Historically, flagship Defender trims retain value exceptionally well in the regional used market, often depreciating less than 12% in their first year due to high demand and limited production numbers.

Performance & Capability

The P635 engine delivers a staggering 635 hp, enabling the 2.7-tonne SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. The 6D Dynamics suspension system is the highlight of its capability, allowing the vehicle to adjust its height and stiffness in milliseconds to suit deep sand or smooth tarmac. With a maximum ground clearance of 323 mm in off-road mode, it comfortably clears obstacles that would bottom out a standard luxury SUV, making it the most capable production Defender ever built.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for the extreme GCC climate, featuring multi-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents and ventilated front performance seats as standard. The interior utilizes highly durable Ultrafabrics and Semi-Aniline leather designed to resist the wear of sand and high temperatures without cracking. The Meridian Surround Sound system is integrated with the Body and Soul Seats, creating a multi-sensory immersive experience during long highway commutes between emirates.

Safety

The 2026 OCTA comes standard with Land Rover’s most comprehensive ADAS suite, including a 360-degree 3D surround camera with ClearSight Ground View, which is invaluable when navigating tight desert tracks or high-curb city parking. It also includes adaptive cruise control with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a Wade Sensing system that provides real-time depth feedback. The integrated power brake system is recalibrated specifically for the OCTA to handle the increased power and weight during high-speed deceleration.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands the ultimate in Land Rover performance, this 2026 OCTA P635 is a collector-grade SUV that balances supercar speed with unmatched GCC desert capability.
