Summary

This 2026 GLS450 is a standout luxury buy, offering a nearly-new ownership experience with just 17,650 km on the clock. Finished in Obsidian Black, it carries the highest resale demand for full-size SUVs in the GCC, ensuring strong value retention for years to come. As a GCC-spec flagship, it's engineered with the cooling capacity and air filtration systems necessary for the region's intense summer heat. The 48-volt mild-hybrid system provides remarkably smooth power delivery, making it the ideal choice for families who prioritize refinement on long highway drives between Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2026 GLS450s

With a Vehicle Age of 0 years and 17,650 km, this GLS450 has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km annual average for large SUVs in the GCC. The Black exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, which typically commands a faster sale and higher price point than less conventional shades. This specific unit represents an opportunity to secure a current-year model that has already cleared its initial steep depreciation while maintaining its like-new mechanical integrity.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

In the GCC, the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system is standard on the GLS450, providing essential stability during high-speed highway cruising and occasional sand-drifted coastal roads. This trim includes the premium Burmester surround sound system and ventilated front seats as standard—features that are often optional in other markets but essential for luxury buyers in this region. It also features the standard 7-seat configuration with power-folding 50/50 split third-row seats, offering superior family flexibility compared to the 5-seat GLE models.

GLS450 vs Segment Rivals

The GLS450 leads its primary rival, the BMW X7, in sheer interior volume and 'adult-usable' third-row legroom, which is a major differentiator for large families in the Gulf. While the Range Rover offers higher off-road clearance, the GLS450's AIRMATIC air suspension is specifically tuned for superior on-road refinement and vibration dampening on paved highways. Furthermore, the MBUX infotainment system with its dual 12.3-inch displays remains more intuitive for navigating GCC urban environments than the interfaces found in the Lexus LX or Audi Q7.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world combined fuel consumption for this 3.0L inline-six averages approximately 11.3 L/100km, a competitive figure for a vehicle of this scale thanks to the 48V mild-hybrid assist. Authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers are widely available across every major city in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts and technical support are never far away. The GLS450 typically sees an annual depreciation of 12-15% in the GCC, outperforming many American-spec competitors that suffer from limited local warranty support and lower trust at resale.

Performance & Capability

The turbocharged 6-cylinder engine produces a verified 375 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.2 seconds, which is ample for confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission is exceptionally smooth, keeping the engine in its optimal torque band for efficient long-distance cruising. With standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive and adjustable ride height via the air suspension, the vehicle handles high-speed stability and uneven terrain with equal composure, perfect for weekend road trips across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 7-seat sanctuary featuring four-zone automatic climate control to ensure every passenger stays cool even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. With all seven seats in place, you still have a usable 355 litres of boot space, which expands to a massive 2,400 litres with all rear rows folded flat. Premium touches like acoustic glass and customizable 64-color ambient lighting create a high-end atmosphere that remains quiet at cruising speeds, insulating the family from both external heat and road noise.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a comprehensive suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a standard 360° surround-view camera that makes parking this full-size SUV in tight city malls effortless. The PRE-SAFE system can detect an impending collision and take protective measures, while the adaptive cruise control is a fatigue-saver during long desert highway drives. The GCC-spec models also come with advanced stability programs specifically calibrated for high-speed highway travel and heavy passenger loads.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec GLS450 is the perfect opportunity for a family buyer looking for S-Class levels of luxury in a 7-seat SUV with low mileage and the market's most desirable color combination.
