Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 Prestige represents the cutting edge of the REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) segment, offering the silence of an EV with the long-distance security of a petrol engine. As a 6-seater with second-row captain chairs, it provides a more exclusive cabin experience than the standard 7-seat configuration, making it ideal for executive commuting or premium family travel. The 476 hp dual-motor system ensures surprising agility for a full-size SUV, while the white exterior remains the most practical and high-resale choice for the GCC climate. With a total range exceeding 1,100 km, it is uniquely suited for cross-border GCC road trips where charging infrastructure is still developing. This model bridges the gap between rugged off-road aesthetics and sophisticated high-tech luxury, standing out as a versatile alternative to traditional luxury SUVs.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

While many 2026 ROX 01 units are still entering the market with delivery mileage, this specific Prestige trim is a high-demand configuration due to its 6-seat layout. In the GCC used market, white is the top-performing resale color as it reflects heat better than darker alternatives. The 2026 model year benefits from the latest software updates for the infotainment and range management systems compared to earlier production units.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the cabin with second-row 'aerial' captain chairs featuring 12-way electric adjustment and a zero-gravity reclining mode not found in the 7-seat versions. It also standardizes ventilated seats for both the first and second rows, a critical upgrade for summer comfort in the GCC. Additionally, the Prestige trim includes the high-definition 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and the 256-color ambient lighting suite as standard.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 primarily competes with the Li Auto L8 and the Land Rover Defender 130, offering a unique middle ground of rugged styling and electric efficiency. Its 1,115 km WLTC range outperforms many PHEV rivals, making it superior for long-haul drives between emirates. The 700 mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode give it more genuine off-road utility than most road-biased electric crossovers in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The REEV powertrain delivers a combined fuel consumption of 7.95 L/100km (WLTC), significantly lower than traditional V6 or V8 SUVs in GCC stop-start traffic. Resale value is supported by a growing authorized service network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with a major parts hub now operational in Jebel Ali ensuring next-day fulfillment. While Chinese brands typically see higher initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the ROX 01's popularity in the UAE's luxury SUV segment is stabilizing its 3-year value retention.

Performance & Capability

With 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque, the ROX 01 hits 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless highway overtaking. It features five specialized terrain modes—Snow, Mud, Rock, Sand, and Wade—backed by an all-aluminum double-wishbone front suspension for stability on gravel and sand. The range-extender system ensures you never face range anxiety, as the 1.5L engine acts purely as an on-board generator for the dual electric motors.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat configuration features a 2+2+2 layout, providing a walkthrough aisle to the third row and maximum shoulder room for middle-row passengers. For the GCC climate, the triple-zone climate control is complemented by double-glazed soundproof glass and a powerful air purification system with PM2.5 monitoring. Tech highlights include a 15.7-inch 3K central touchscreen and a premium audio system that provides an immersive theater-like experience during long drives.

Safety

Safety is managed by a full ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, essential for fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The vehicle is built with an 87% high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body and comes standard with a 360° high-definition panoramic camera and transparent chassis view for navigating tight spaces or rocky terrain. All rows are protected by full-length curtain airbags.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer wanting the efficiency of an EV without sacrificing the ability to drive from Dubai to Salalah on a single tank, this 6-seat ROX 01 Prestige is the ultimate modern family workhorse.
