Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional luxury SUVs, combining rugged Pininfarina-led design with advanced range-extended electric technology. As the premium 6-seater configuration, it features second-row captain's chairs that transform the cabin into a mobile executive lounge. The Chinese spec allows for a competitive entry point into high-end EREV ownership, offering significantly more range and technology than standard petrol rivals in this price bracket. For UAE buyers, the massive 1,115 km total range and dual-motor all-wheel drive make it equally capable of cross-emirate highway runs and weekend camping excursions. White is a top-tier resale color in the GCC, ensuring this brand-new unit remains a highly liquid asset in the local market.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With zero kilometers on the clock, this 2026 model represents the latest production cycle, featuring the most current software and battery management calibrations. Compared to higher-priced dealer units, this Chinese-spec version offers identical hardware and performance while providing a more accessible price point for early adopters. Its white exterior is the most popular choice for the UAE climate, reflecting heat effectively and maintaining the strongest resale value among all color options.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is defined by its 2+2+2 seating layout, replacing the standard bench with executive captain’s chairs in the second row for superior passenger comfort. This high-specification version includes heated, ventilated, and massaging seats for both front and middle-row occupants, alongside an upgraded 256-color ambient lighting system. While lower trims focus on maximum occupancy, the VIP prioritizing rear-seat luxury with a dedicated entertainment screen and independent climate controls tailored for GCC summers.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Land Rover Defender 110, leading the segment in pure electric range with its 56.01 kWh battery. Unlike pure petrol rivals like the Nissan Patrol, the 01’s range-extender system allows for silent, emission-free city driving while retaining a 70-liter fuel tank for long-distance reliability. Its 770 mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode provide genuine off-road capability that most urban-focused hybrid crossovers cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the REEV system averages approximately 7.95L/100km, which is significantly more efficient than V8-powered SUVs during stop-start Dubai traffic. Maintenance is simplified as the 1.5L generator has fewer moving parts and operates under less stress than a traditional drive engine, with service centers increasingly available in major UAE hubs like Ras Al Khor. While new Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese mainstays, the 01's unique position as a luxury off-roader helps it retain value better than generic EV commuters.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers a combined 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 5.5-second sprint to 100 km/h that feels effortless on highway merges. It features an adaptive air suspension system that can lift the chassis to clear 300 mm of ground, making it surprisingly adept at handling soft sand and rocky wadi tracks. The range-extender technology eliminates range anxiety for desert trips, as the petrol generator ensures the battery stays charged even far from the urban power grid.

Comfort & Cabin

The VIP cabin is a sanctuary of Nappa leather and double-glazed acoustic glass, specifically designed to insulate passengers from the extreme GCC outdoor heat and road noise. The six-seat configuration offers a zero-gravity mode in the second row, ideal for resting during long drives between Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. A powerful tri-zone climate control system ensures rapid cooling for all three rows, even when the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight.

Safety

This VIP trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring which are essential for fast-moving multi-lane UAE highways. A 360-degree high-definition camera system with a 3D transparent chassis view assists in both tight parking situations and technical off-road maneuvers. The vehicle is also equipped with a full array of front, side, and curtain airbags, providing robust passive protection for all six passengers.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family or executive looking for Defender-like presence with the efficiency and luxury of a modern electric lounge. It represents a rare opportunity to own a flagship 6-seater with zero mileage at a price that significantly undercuts official dealer listings.
