Summary

The ROX 01 enters the market as a sophisticated hybrid SUV that blends rugged capability with an executive-level cabin. Its dual-electric motor setup provides substantial power while the range-extender eliminates any long-distance travel concerns between emirates. This VIP trim specifically targets the luxury family market with its six-seat configuration and premium interior finishes. For buyers in the GCC, it offers a compelling alternative to traditional full-size SUVs by combining silent electric city driving with the stamina needed for cross-border road trips. With its boxy, high-presence design, it stands out on the road while providing the cooling performance and range essential for the local climate.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model, this vehicle represents the cutting edge of EREV technology with the most up-to-date software and battery management systems. While many similar listings might feature the standard 7-seat layout, this 6-seat configuration is often preferred in the used market for its superior second-row comfort. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the GCC, offering the best heat rejection and highest resale demand.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the flagship of the range, replacing the standard middle bench with two individual aviation-grade captain's chairs that feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions. It also includes the high-fidelity audio system and an upgraded ADAS suite that aren't always standard on the entry-level Luxury trims. These rear-cabin upgrades are particularly valued by buyers looking for a chauffeur-driven experience or maximum family comfort.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L9 and the Land Rover Defender 110, offering a middle ground between ultra-luxury tech and genuine off-road geometry. It leads the Li Auto in off-road hardware with a dedicated 700 mm wading depth and specific terrain modes like Sand and Wade. Compared to traditional petrol rivals like the Nissan Patrol, it provides a significantly more refined and silent driving experience in stop-start city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically stays between 7.9L and 9.5L/100km depending on how often you utilize the 235 km pure-electric range. The 70-litre fuel tank ensures that even on long desert highway runs, the total range exceeds 1,100 km, reducing the need for frequent stops. While the brand is newer to the region, authorized service presence is growing rapidly across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and the vehicle’s use of widely available 95-octane fuel simplifies maintenance.

Performance & Capability

The combined output of 476 hp allows this large SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. Unlike road-biased crossovers, the ROX 01 features DCC adaptive damping and a high-strength chassis designed to handle gravel tracks and sandy terrain. The 45-degree maximum climbing gradient and 205 mm ground clearance make it a capable companion for weekend escapes to the mountains or desert.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 2+2+2 seating layout provides an airy, lounge-like atmosphere with dedicated climate zones for each row, a critical feature for the GCC summer. The second-row captain's chairs can recline to a zero-gravity position, and the cabin is well-insulated from exterior noise and heat. Technology highlights include a massive central touchscreen, a dedicated rear-seat entertainment screen, and an integrated air purifier with PM2.5 monitoring.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a full ADAS suite including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist, which are invaluable for long-distance desert drives. The 360-degree high-definition camera system makes parking this large SUV simple in tight urban spaces. Additionally, the high-strength body construction and comprehensive airbag coverage provide peace of mind for family travel across the region.

The bottom line

This ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family that needs a luxury six-seater capable of handling both the daily city commute in electric mode and rugged weekend adventures.
