This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a standout choice in the GCC market for buyers seeking a high-tech, long-range family explorer. As a range-extended hybrid, it offers the refinement of an EV for city commutes while its 70-liter fuel tank ensures stress-free long-distance travel between Emirates or across borders. The VIP trim is highly desirable in this region for its second-row captain chairs and premium materials, which hold value well among executive families. In the classic black exterior, this SUV maintains a strong resale profile in the UAE and Saudi markets. For the modern GCC driver, it combines the ruggedness of a traditional 4x4 with the cabin technology of a luxury sedan.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With zero kilometers on the clock, this brand-new unit avoids the typical high mileage seen in the GCC used market, where 25,000 km per year is standard. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the region, ensuring better liquidly compared to more niche colors. Choosing a 2026 model year ensures you have the latest software calibrations for the hybrid system and battery management.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive luxury choice, adding second-row 'Zero-Gravity' captain chairs that feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions—essential for GCC summers. It also upgrades the cabin with a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and a premium Nappa leather interior. Lower trims often lack the soft-close tailgate and the sophisticated 256-color ambient lighting system found here.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L9 and the Tank 500, leading the segment with a massive 1,338 km combined range that minimizes stops on long Saudi-UAE highway runs. Its 700mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode give it a genuine edge in weekend desert excursions compared to road-biased rivals. The interior layout provides superior second-row legroom, a key priority for family-oriented GCC buyers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world hybrid fuel consumption averages around 7.9 L/100km, which is exceptionally efficient for a full-size SUV in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. ROX has established a dedicated regional parts hub in Jebel Ali, ensuring next-day parts fulfillment and a growing service network across the UAE. As a Chinese luxury spec, it currently follows a depreciation curve similar to high-end tech-focused EVs, though the range-extender hardware provides better long-term value retention than pure electrics.

Performance & Capability

A total output of 470 hp and 740 Nm of torque allows this SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on 140 km/h highways. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system includes specific terrain modes for sand and rocks, supported by a 3D transparent chassis view to navigate obstacles safely. Its 205 mm ground clearance makes it capable of handling unpaved wadi tracks and moderate desert trails.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat VIP layout is designed for maximum thermal comfort, featuring a three-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents that can withstand 50°C summer peaks. All main passengers benefit from acoustic double-glazed glass, significantly reducing wind noise during high-speed desert drives. Technology is led by a 15.7-inch 3K central display and an integrated air purifier with PM2.5 monitoring to maintain cabin air quality.

Safety

This VIP trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control for long desert highways and Blind Spot Monitoring for multi-lane city traffic. It features a high-strength steel body cage and a 360-degree HD panoramic camera system that is vital for parking such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. Standard safety equipment includes multiple airbags and an intelligent collision avoidance system.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the ideal opportunity for a tech-forward family wanting the best in luxury seating and long-distance hybrid range without sacrificing off-road readiness.
