Summary

This 2026 iteration represents a significant leap for buyers seeking a high-tech alternative to traditional luxury SUVs in the GCC. With a Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain, it offers the efficiency of an electric motor without the range anxiety often felt on long cross-border drives between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The grey exterior provides a sophisticated look that maintains excellent resale demand in the local market, as it hides dust well and radiates less heat than darker shades. The triple-row configuration and impressive horsepower make it a formidable family hauler that can handle highway overtaking with ease. For those looking for a fresh, technology-first approach to motoring, this trim provides a level of standard equipment that usually requires heavy options packaging on European rivals. The single most important factor for a GCC buyer is the peace of mind offered by the backup gasoline engine, which ensures you are never stranded near remote desert charging stations.

This Car vs Other 2026 01s

While many 2026 models are just beginning to enter the secondary market, this specific example stands as a prime choice due to its pristine condition and fresh mechanical status. In the GCC, where annual mileage often hits the 25,000 km mark, finding a latest-model-year vehicle with such low wear provides a distinct advantage in both longevity and future trade-in value. The grey finish is particularly well-suited for the Middle Eastern climate, as it resists the fading effects of intense UV exposure better than more vibrant colors. Buyers will find this car to be mechanically indistinguishable from a showroom unit, offering the latest software updates and battery management protocols available for this model year. Choosing a 2026 model ensures the longest possible lead time before the next major refresh, protecting your investment for years to come.

ALL ROUND vs Lower Trims

Choosing the All Round trim elevates the experience well beyond the base specifications by introducing a suite of comfort and technology features that are essential for the GCC's heat. This trim includes the full 7-seat configuration with high-quality interior finishes that outclass the more utilitarian entry-level versions. It standardizes the high-output dual-motor setup that delivers the full 476 horsepower, whereas lower trims may prioritize efficiency over this level of performance. You also gain more sophisticated cabin insulation and upgraded glass, which are vital for keeping the interior silent and cool during the peak of summer. The most notable addition for local buyers is the enhanced climate control system and the inclusion of advanced seating features that significantly improve the experience on long trips between emirates. By opting for this higher trim, you ensure that the car includes the premium sensors and cameras required for its most advanced safety features.

01 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to segment stalwarts like the Li Auto L8 or the Voyah Free, this model carves out a niche by offering a more rugged aesthetic combined with a highly efficient 1.5-liter range extender. It provides more horsepower than many similarly priced traditional Euro-spec SUVs, allowing for superior performance on the fast-moving highways of the UAE. The interior volume is a major differentiator, offering a genuine third row that can actually accommodate family members comfortably, unlike some competitors that offer tighter '5+2' seating. Its REEV powertrain is particularly effective in the region, providing better efficiency than a standard hybrid while avoiding the infrastructure limitations of a pure EV. The inclusion of a robust All Wheel Drive system as standard gives it a capability edge over city-focused crossovers that often transition to front-wheel drive to save on costs. This model's focus on a boxy, space-efficient design makes it a more practical choice for the large families typical of the GCC market.

Running Costs & Resale

The Range Extended Electric Vehicle system significantly lowers daily running costs compared to traditional V6 or V8 SUVs commonly found in Dubai and Riyadh. In stop-start city traffic, the electric motors handle the heavy lifting, essentially eliminating fuel consumption during commutes, while the 1.5-liter engine only engages when the battery requires a charge. Service intervals are typically less demanding than pure combustion engines because the petrol motor operates at a steady, optimized RPM, reducing wear and tear on internal components. While it is a Chinese regional spec, parts availability in the UAE is rapidly expanding through specialized service centers and major auto parts hubs. Depreciation for high-tech REEV models in the GCC is stabilizing as the market gains confidence in battery longevity and the convenience of range extension. You can expect a competitive value retention over a three-year period, especially as more buyers transition away from high-displacement engines in favor of smarter, technology-driven powertrains.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure of 476 horsepower translates to a remarkably responsive driving experience that defies the vehicle's substantial SUV proportions. This power is delivered instantly through the All Wheel Drive system, providing confident traction whether you are merging onto a 140 km/h highway or navigating rain-slicked urban roads. With a 0-100 km/h time that rivals many sports sedans, this SUV provides the punch needed for quick overtaking and active safety. The ground clearance is designed to handle more than just curbs, offering enough height for light desert trail exploration and sandy weekend getaways at the beach. Multiple drive modes allow the pilot to prioritize silent electric cruising for city errands or maximum power for spirited drives. The transmission is seamless, utilizing the electric torque to provide a smooth, linear acceleration curve that is much more comfortable for passengers than a traditional multi-gear automatic.

Comfort & Cabin

Interior comfort in this 7-seater is focused on creating a lounge-like atmosphere that remains a sanctuary from the harsh 50-degree summer heat. The cabin features dedicated air conditioning vents for every row, ensuring that even those in the very back stay cool during long mid-day drives. High-quality materials are used throughout the dashboard and door panels, minimizing the 'plastic' feel found in some entry-level crossovers and improving noise isolation from road and wind. The seat layout is versatile, allowing for various cargo and passenger combinations to suit everything from school runs to airport trips with heavy luggage. A large, high-resolution infotainment screen serves as the command center, integrating seamlessly with modern mobile devices for navigation and media. The audio system is tuned to provide a crisp, immersive experience, making those long highway stretches between cities much more enjoyable for all occupants.

Safety

Safety is a paramount feature of this trim, which comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) designed for high-speed environments. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist are particularly useful on the straight, long-distance highways connecting the major GCC cities, reducing driver fatigue significantly. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts are standard, providing vital assistance when navigating the dense, multi-lane traffic of Dubai's SZR or Riyadh's King Fahd Road. Multiple airbags and a high-strength cage design ensure maximum passive protection for all seven passengers in the event of a collision. The electronic stability and traction control systems are calibrated to handle the unique challenges of the region, such as sudden sand drifts on the road or the occasional heavy downpour. This vehicle offers a level of safety technology that often commands a significant premium in the luxury SUV segment.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 is the perfect match for a tech-savvy family in the GCC who wants' the efficiency of an EV with the total freedom of a petrol engine. Its 7-seat versatility and high-output performance make it a superior value proposition compared to traditional luxury SUVs.
