Summary

The 2026 ROX 01 Prestige enters the GCC market as a formidable full-size luxury SUV, uniquely pairing rugged Pininfarina design with advanced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology. This 6-seater configuration offers a level of cabin versatility and road presence that rivals traditional luxury titans, while the dual-motor 476 hp powertrain ensures effortless highway cruising across emirates. For the GCC buyer, the Prestige trim is a high-value choice, offering ventilated massage seats and an integrated air purification system that is essential for local summer conditions. Its black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale value in the region, making this a strategic acquisition for those seeking cutting-edge tech without range anxiety.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model year, this ROX 01 represents the latest iteration of the brand's luxury vision, benefiting from refined software and thermal management for the 56.01 kWh battery. In the GCC used market, a current-year model with delivery mileage is highly sought after as it avoids the initial depreciation of a showroom-fresh unit while maintaining a full technical lifecycle. The classic black finish on this vehicle is one of the strongest resale colors in the region, ensuring it remains a liquid asset compared to more niche exterior shades.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the ROX 01 experience by adding premium features that GCC buyers prioritize, such as the 12-way electric 'Zero-Gravity' second-row aviation seats with heating, ventilation, and an 8-point massage system. Unlike lower trims, the Prestige includes a 15.6-inch HD rear entertainment screen and the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 cockpit processor for seamless cabin tech. It also standardizes the soft-close side tailgate and acoustic double-glazed glass, significantly improving cabin isolation from high-speed wind noise and desert heat.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 primarily competes with the Li Auto L8 and AITO M7, leading the segment with a more rugged, off-road-oriented design and a superior 700mm wading depth. While rivals focus heavily on urban tech, the ROX 01 offers a 70-litre fuel tank and a specialized 'Dune Mode' designed specifically for sand driving, making it more versatile for weekend adventures in the GCC. Its 5.3-meter length provides more consistent third-row legroom than many European luxury crossovers in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the ROX 01's 1.5L range extender is approximately 7.95 L/100km when the battery is depleted, making it highly efficient for long-distance highway travel between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. Maintenance is streamlined through growing authorized service networks in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with specialized EV service centers now operational in major hubs. While a newer brand in the GCC, the EREV powertrain's reliability and low running costs are helping it maintain a stable 3-year value retention profile relative to traditional European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

With 476 hp and 740 Nm of instant torque, the ROX 01 achieves 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, ensuring confident overtaking on fast-moving GCC highways. The intelligent AWD system features dedicated modes for sand and wading, supported by a 205mm ground clearance that protects the underbody during light off-road excursions. The 1.5T four-cylinder engine acts solely as a generator, meaning you enjoy the smooth, quiet delivery of an electric vehicle even on 1,000 km cross-border journeys.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat layout features premium Napa leather and dedicated climate zones with independent vents for all three rows, a critical feature for maintaining passenger comfort in 45°C+ summer heat. The cabin is an oasis of tech, featuring a 15.7-inch 3K central touchscreen and a 256-color ambient lighting system that enhances the premium feel during night drives. For family trips, the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability allows you to power external devices, perfect for desert camping or outdoor gatherings.

Safety

The ROX 01 Prestige comes equipped with a comprehensive L2+ intelligent driving suite, including 11 active safety functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Collision Warning. The 360° HD panoramic camera is particularly useful for maneuvering this full-size SUV in tight urban parking, while the 10-airbag system provides robust passive protection. The high-grade steel body and specialized wading protection ensure the vehicle remains stable and safe even during the occasional heavy rainfall and flash flooding seen in the region.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the futuristic tech and torque of an EV without sacrificing the range security of a petrol engine, this 2026 ROX 01 Prestige is the ultimate modern family SUV. It offers flagship-level luxury and genuine off-road versatility at a price point that makes it a highly competitive alternative to established European rivals.
