Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP offers a unique blend of rugged Italian-designed aesthetics and high-tech efficiency, making it a compelling alternative to established luxury off-roaders. With its range-extended hybrid powertrain, it provides the quiet confidence of an electric vehicle for city commutes while eliminating range anxiety for cross-border GCC road trips. The VIP trim is the most desirable configuration in the local market, featuring a luxurious six-seat layout that prioritizes second-row comfort with aviation-grade seating. Dressed in white, the most sought-after resale color in the Middle East, this SUV is perfectly suited for the region's climate thanks to its high-capacity cooling systems and specialized thermal management. For a buyer looking for flagship scale and modern tech without the typical fuel costs of a large SUV, this is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model, this vehicle represents the latest iteration of the 01, benefiting from refined software and optimized battery management compared to early production units. With only 20 km on the odometer, this is effectively a brand-new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over average 2026 listings that may have already accumulated several thousand kilometers in GCC testing. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE market, as it better reflects intense solar heat and historically maintains the highest resale value in the region.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim elevates the ROX 01 experience by replacing the standard bench with two executive zero-gravity captain chairs in the second row, featuring integrated leg rests, ventilation, and massage functions. It also includes a more sophisticated ADAS suite with upgraded sensors for better performance in the high-speed multi-lane traffic common on GCC highways. Unlike base trims, the VIP version comes standard with a premium audio system and enhanced acoustic glass to ensure a whisper-quiet cabin during long desert drives.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 is frequently cross-shopped with the Li Auto L9 and the Land Rover Defender 110, offering a unique middle ground between high-tech luxury and rugged capability. It leads the segment with its Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) architecture, providing a total combined range of approximately 1,115 km (WLTC) which surpasses the highway range of most petrol-only rivals. Its 700 mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode make it more capable for weekend desert excursions than road-biased family SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this REEV system is highly efficient, often averaging below 7.95 L/100 km when the battery is utilized, which is a major advantage in the GCC's stop-start urban traffic. The 56.01 kWh battery supports DC fast charging, reaching 80% in under 30 minutes at compatible UAE stations, keeping daily running costs significantly lower than traditional V8 SUVs. While Chinese luxury brands are newer to the market, the ROX 01's styling by Pininfarina and growing authorized service presence in the UAE suggest a more stable depreciation curve compared to generic EV startups.

Performance & Capability

With a total output of 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque delivered instantly by dual electric motors, this SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. The 1.5L turbocharged engine acts exclusively as a generator, ensuring you always have power for overtaking on fast-moving highways like E11. Its intelligent All-Wheel Drive system includes selectable terrain modes, specifically tuned to handle the soft sand and gravel tracks found throughout the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Comfort & Cabin

The six-seat layout offers a 2+2+2 configuration, providing a walkthrough aisle to the third row which is a major convenience for larger families. The cabin is specifically engineered for high-temperature climates, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and ventilated seating for both front and second-row passengers. The large central touchscreen and digital cockpit are complemented by physical wood trim elements, creating a refined atmosphere that balances modern tech with executive comfort.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a full ADAS suite that includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360° camera with a transparent chassis view, which is invaluable for navigating tight parking spaces or rocky terrain. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and utilizes a high-strength steel cage construction designed to meet international safety standards. These active systems are particularly effective for the high-speed highway commuting typical of the GCC region.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the perfect choice for a tech-forward family who wants the presence of a luxury off-roader with the efficiency of an EV. With delivery mileage and the most desirable seat configuration, it offers immediate availability for the buyer looking to lead the next generation of GCC mobility.
