Summary

This 2027 S 580 4MATIC represents the definitive GCC executive sedan, pairing the authority of a V8 biturbo with an almost new mileage profile. The black-on-black configuration remains the most sought-after palette in the regional used market, ensuring this listing commands maximum attention and retains its value far better than lighter alternatives. While rivals prioritize either sportiness or comfort, the S-Class remains the only vehicle in its segment to master both through its AIRMATIC air suspension and active dampening systems. For the GCC buyer, this specific unit offers the ideal balance of flagship prestige and long-distance highway refinement. Ownership of an S-Class in this region is as much a statement of reliability as it is of status, supported by the most extensive luxury service network in the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2027 S 580s

With essentially delivery-range mileage, this unit offers a significant advantage over typical GCC executive cars that often cover 25,000 km in their first year. Its black exterior is the benchmark for resale strength in the UAE and Saudi markets, consistently trading at a premium compared to silver or white units. Choosing a car of this age and mileage effectively provides a new-car experience with the immediate availability that local showrooms often cannot match.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

The S 580 4MATIC replaces the six-cylinder engine of the S 450 and S 500 with a significantly more refined 4.0-liter V8, a powertrain highly prized by GCC buyers for its effortless highway overtaking. Beyond the engine, this trim standardizes the Burmester 3D Surround Sound system and offers enhanced cabin insulation, ensuring the interior remains a silent sanctuary even at high cruising speeds. It also adds standard all-wheel drive, providing superior stability during the rare but intense rain events and sand-slicked highway conditions found across the Emirates.

S 580 vs Segment Rivals

Against the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8, the S 580 leads in rear-passenger ergonomics and the sophistication of its MBUX infotainment suite. While the 7 Series focuses on a more aggressive digital interface, the Mercedes maintains a classic layout that GCC owners find more intuitive for long-term daily use. Its cooling system is widely regarded as the most effective in the segment, a critical differentiator for maintaining cabin comfort during the peak of the Arabian summer.

Running Costs & Resale

The S 580 benefits from a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that helps manage fuel consumption in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh, though it remains a premium V8 requiring 98-octane fuel for peak performance. Service intervals are typically set at 15,000 km, with Mercedes-Benz maintaining one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across all seven GCC nations. While European luxury sedans face steep initial depreciation, the S 580 with GCC specs retains its value approximately 12% better than imported American or European models due to its verified regional cooling and warranty status.

Performance & Capability

The 503 hp V8 biturbo propels this heavy sedan from 0–100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, a figure that rivals many dedicated sports cars. On the long stretches of highway between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and active rear-axle steering provide a level of stability that makes 140 km/h feel completely stationary. The AIRMATIC air suspension intelligently adjusts to road surfaces in real-time, ensuring a magic-carpet ride regardless of pavement quality.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat layout features ventilated and heated front and rear seats as standard, a necessity for the GCC climate where cabin temperatures can reach extreme levels. The MBUX system serves as the digital heart of the car, offering voice-activated climate control and a massive central OLED display. Exceptional acoustic glass and heavy insulation keep the desert heat and highway wind noise outside, creating a theater-like environment for the Burmester 3D audio system.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is invaluable for the long highway commutes common in the region. The 360-degree camera system makes navigating tight parking spaces in major GCC cities effortless, while blind-spot monitoring provides a vital second set of eyes for fast-moving highway traffic. This trim also includes rear-seat airbags, ensuring all five occupants benefit from Mercedes-Benz's industry-leading collision protection.

The bottom line

For the executive who demands the absolute benchmark in German engineering, this S 580 4MATIC is the highest-spec V8 available before stepping into Maybach territory. It is the perfect opportunity to acquire a flagship 2027 model in the region's most desirable color without the typical waiting list.
